Walk it off now
You can tell them all how, how hard we tried to work it out
Walk it off dear
Standing here with your tail between your legs

Here we stand
There's nothing left for you
There's nothing left for me
Here I am
There's nothing left for you
There's nothing left for me

I will never be what you want to see now
I will never be what you want to see now
I never wanted you to go
But I'd be the last to let you know

Walk it off now
You can tell them all how, how good it feels to be let down
Tell them all about
How long it was to get around to her side of town

Here we stand
There's nothing left for you
There's nothing left for me
Here I am
There's nothing left for you
There's nothing left for me

I will never be what you want to see now
I will never be what you want to see now
I never wanted you to go
But I'd be the last to let you know

Walk it off now
You can tell them all how I finally let you down
Stand around here in this small town
And tell me how it feels
Tell me how it feels

General CommentIt's almost as like if both ppl in the relationship knew it wasn't going to work from the beginning... but yet everyone around them thought it was. "Theres nothing left for you, Theres nothing left for me"
The person julia is singing to seems to be insecure. "You can tell them all how I finally let you down"
Julia is finally tired of her spouse since shes tried for awhile and it's almost like the spouse was trying to change her in some way... "I will never be what you want to see now"
Julia cares to some extent bc she thought it was the right thing to do... to be with this person bc everyone else thought so. Shes finally giving up and not caring what others think and who she should be with.
Maybe she has another in mind?

    who knows...

General CommentMight also mean... The other person never really wanted her and was always pushing her away. She finally steps up and lets go. She pleases the other person in the way she never wanted to please them.

General CommentI think it's about staying in a relationship because of others expectations, possibly parents.
He seemed to have high expectations that she could change (I will never be what you want to see now)
She's letting him tell people that he tried (How long it was to get around to her side of town)
Letting him say that she let him down.
But they both knew it wouldn't work.
yes she never wanted him to leave, they both had to walk away.

General Commenti think the song has a bitter tone to it. i think he blamed her outwardly but knew that he was equally to blame
    Tell them all about
How long it was to get around to her side of town
I think he left her for someone else in the end

General CommentI think this song is actually when the two people in the relationship are the ones who think it'll work and everyone else is telling them it won't work. They're trying to prove them wrong by fixing all their problems and working hard at the relationship but in the end the guy just can't take people constantly telling them they won't work and he leaves because it's too much for him. I think the tone just really has a tone of proving themselves to everyone else. I also think the "walk it off" is referring to ignoring what everybody else is saying about them.

My InterpretationIt's about who people who care about each other, and who've been in a relationship, but they both know it won't work. They want to be together, and they like each other, but it's not love.
The song is about one of them finally being able to let go of the other, so that they can meet the right person.
You can see that they try to be together, regardless of the difficulties, but in the end one of them just can't handle it anymore.

My Interpretationthis songs reminds me of a relationship that cannot seem to work. They both want to be together and at first when they end things it was sad. Then they kept going back to the same old same old with eachother and one would try while the other wouldn't. The timing was never on. Then at the end he finds someone else "how long it took to get to her side of town". She is heart broken, even though it was partially her fault. And now he pretends that she was the one who was the cause, when in reality both of them weren't trying at the same times. My intepretation
