"Cartwheels" as written by Gary Lightbody, Jonathan Graham Quinn, Iain Denis Archer, William Angus Campbell, Charles Clark, Bobby Kildea, Colin Mcpherson, Gillian Mills, Neil Payne, Jennifer Reeve and Gareth Martin Russell....
My wounds are nicely slated dear
I never got to thank you right
I was finished way before i could see
Quite what you had in mind for me

I'm doing cartwheels

Now the pessimism in me yawns
As I'm pissing on their perfect front lawns
A voice calls out behind my back
and i take off into the grounds

I'm doing Cartwheels

It'll all tie me up into knots

I diddn't mean to speak out of turn
Now you can sit and watch me squirm
now the party's really in full swing
I wish i had a friend i could ring

I'm doing cartwheels

You're really loving this aren't you dear
Now you've got me on the ropes out here
With nowhere else to run to now
Just stay and face the music

It'll all tie me up into knots

General CommentThis song is made by Gary Lightbody's side project The Reindeer Section. I didn't know that, when I posted the lyrics as a Snow Patrol song.

General CommentDon't worry about it. :) It's on their album Up To Now.

This is a fantastic song. I'm still trying to work through the meaning, but the sound in general is making me want Spring now more than ever.

General Commentthis is a lovely cheery summer song until you listen to the lyrics. i think lightbody is being sarcastic here, describing how he feels like sh*t at the moment and sarcastically saying that he's doing cartwheels. the cheery music reflects this. i really like this song :D
