The Phoenix Alive Lyrics

I fell between the lines made you surrender
The promise at the start just got lost on the way
Held eternity gaze at the splendor
Give up all these simple games that we hold on to

Now our victory march is struck with charm
I can bear the tears upon my arm
Now our victory march is struck with charm
We can keep the spirit safe from harm

Rise from the ash in darkness
The phoenix alive
Turn bones to constellations
The stars in our eyes

We tore ourselves apart only indifference
Rewrite the empty lines of the illusions we had
We plead ten million times to aid the persistence
This will be our last chance that we'll hold on to

Now our victory march is struck with charm
I can bear the tears upon my arm
Now our victory march is struck with charm
We can keep the spirit safe from harm

Rise from the ash in darkness
The phoenix alive
Turn bones to constellations
The stars in our eyes

Oh, also, the second line.

I'm pretty sure it goes "just got lost in the way" not "lost on the way" although the latter would be grammatically correct I think.

The "pub" part, I think goes "Rise from the ash in oneness" followed by "the phoenix alive" for the chorus. I thought it was "feelings alive" too but if you listen carefully, the "n" sound is clear. Plus, it kind of makes sense because the title is "Phoenix Alive."

I think the chorus is:

Rise from the ash in darkness The phoenix alive Turn bones to constellations The stars in our eyes

It makes more sense that the third line would be "Hail eternity, gaze at the splendor" rather than "hell eternity" which really doesn't make much sense.

Really like the official music video, but curious about the potential connection with astronaut, other than "hail eternity, gaze at the splendor." Maybe just a cool motif, but it works well with the climax of song during takeoff. If you haven't seen it, I found on YouTube.
