When you're down and you're out
And you don't think you have a friend
When you're lost in the doubt
And you can't see what's around the bend

Just hold on
Don't turn around
Keep on walking
Don't lose heart
'Cause I am here, I am here
Wherever you are, wherever you are

When the rain is falling
There's no silver lining
And you just can't seem to find the light
When you need a reason
To help you keep believing
Let my love be your blue sky
(Your blue sky)
Your blue sky
(Your blue sky)
Your blue sky
(Your blue sky)
Your blue sky
(Your blue sky)

Don't you know that I know
Life can be
So hard it makes you wanna give up?
But don't you know over the horizon
The sunny day you're looking for
Is waiting right here in my love?

So just hold on
Don't turn around
Keep on walking
Don't lose heart
'Cause I am here, I am here
Wherever you are, wherever you are

When the rain is falling
There's no silver lining
And you just can't seem to find the light
When you need a reason
To help you keep believing
Let my love be your blue sky
(Your blue sky)
Your blue sky
(Your blue sky)
Your blue sky
(Your blue sky)
Your blue sky
(Your blue sky)

Come on, come on
Don't you be afraid
Whatever comes tomorrow
My love is here to stay
Come on, come on
Don't you be afraid
Whatever comes tomorrow
My love is here to stay
Come on, come on
Don't you be afraid
Whatever comes tomorrow
My love is here to stay
Come on, come on
Don't you be afraid
Whatever comes tomorrow
My love

When the rain is falling
There's no silver lining
And you just can't seem to find the light
When you need a reason
To help you keep believing
Let my love be your blue sky
(Your blue sky)
Your blue sky
(Your blue sky)
Your blue sky
(Your blue sky)
Your blue sky
(Your blue sky)

Come on, come on
Don't you be afraid
Whatever comes tomorrow
My love is here to stay
Come on, come on
Don't you be afraid
Whatever comes tomorrow
My love is here to stay

first to put a comment!!! anyway, this song is so inspiring to me, to know that there will always be there for me in a time of need. it's lik this, if your so down you feel like it is raining every day and you feel so alone that you think that nobody cares about you, god cares for you and he always will. and whatever comes tomorrow his love is here to stay. and gods love will be your blue sky. and no matter what you do god will always love you.

like this one time i felt really bad, like nobody cared about me. i put this song on and i remembered that he loves me and i remembered that my family also cares about me.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
