And the dashboard assembled descending height order
Half a decade of father's day, it's another thought for
Another passed on, puppy eyes, nasty reaction
Doe eyes, you're kidding yourself

I learnt remedial Spanish from a toddler
Passenger's seat of father's taxi
Cussing in unison, clutching the seats
My diseased handwriting filled with a sense of great disappointment
Doe eyes, you're kidding yourself

So fucking on, so fucking forth
We've got your back, whatever that's worth
If your hero told you to go huff a Sharpie, what would you do?
I do not know
Every girl I ever kissed, I was thinking of a pro footballer
Thought you should know

I've learned more from toilet walls than I've learned from these words of yours
Your feelings are buried in scriptures and fictions,
It's all in the words but I'm here for the pictures

I'm sweating off the cheap notes on my thighs
They were for your benefit, not mine

So fucking on, so fucking forth
We've got your back, whatever that's worth
If we get another shape that's called functionality, what would we do?
I do not know
If it wasn't for the current U.S. policy, what would we do?

Sometimes only you'll know
We're cementing old friends, dismissing old foes
We're throwing punches and ducking blows
So la la la la la la la

..... my apologies, I made some silly typos there. Corrected:

    official:

On the dashboard assembled In descending height order, Half a decade of father's day gifts Her mother bought for her; Never passed on. Puffy eyes, nasty reaction; Doe eyes, you're kidding yourself

I learned remedial Spanish From a toddler. Passenger seat of father's taxi Cussing in unison Clutching receipts and Deceased handwriting Filled with a sense of Great disappointment; Doe eyes, you're kidding yourself

And so fucking on, and so fucking forth: We've got your back, whatever that's worth If your hero told you to go huff a sharpie, what would you do? (I do not know) Every girl I ever kissed I was thinking of a pro-footballer (THOUGHT. YOU. SHOULD. KNOW)

(Gareth) I've learnt more from toilet walls than I've learnt from these words of yours Your feelings are buried in scriptures and fictions, it's all in the words but I'm here for the pictures.

(Aleks) I'm sweating off the cheat notes on my thighs They were for your benefit not mine

And so fucking on, and so fucking forth: We've got your back, whatever that's worth If we didn't know the shape was for functionality, what would we do? (I do not know) If it wasn't for the corrupt US pharmacy, what would we do?

Sometimes only you'll know. We're cementing old friends, dismissing old foes. We're throwing punches and ducking blows.

"If it wasn't for the curfew ?? what would we do?" should be "If it wasn't for the current U.S. policy what would we do?"

Agree with tjwells, and I think it's "We're throwing punches and ducking blows"

"If it wasn't for the current U.S. policy what would we do?"

    ... What?

It's obviously "If it wasn't for the courage to ask for mercy what would we do?"

    My Interpretation

Filed it under the wrong comment type.

"If it wasn't for the courage to ask for mercy what would we do?", not "If it wasn't for the current U.S. policy what would we do?"

This song is really hard for me to get anything out of, following the narrative path of the album, the only thing I can really gather from this is from the final refrains. The guy finds the fact that she never says anything frustrating and infuriating, the supposed hints she's been giving him he hasn't picked up on. She's been trying very clearly to tell him for awhile now and he hasn't taken the time to notice, so she's done trying.

The first two verses someone can have a crack at, cause I'm not getting anything.

The only other theme I'd pick up on is that the chorus seems to be the narrator either taking comfort or support in friends or given the denial he's in and the following song, maybe he's not so much leaning on his friends as he is a football club? It's a shot in the dark but.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
