And I know something you don't,
It comes and goes like the strength,
In your bones, whoa.
To keep your mind at rest,
I'll never let the two of us be friends,
Does that hurt?

Underdog, just look at the mess you've made.
It's such a shame, a shame,
We had to find out this way.

You must have the must have moment in your hands,
And its sad to think that,
I am a season, I am going to change,
Just not face to face,
It ain't broke,
So don't fix it.

Underdog, just look at the mess you've made.
It's such a shame, a shame,
We had to find out this way.

Revenge loves company, three makes it a crowd,
So wash your mouth, sit this one out.

And I am down, down,
But definitely not out,
(Definitely not out)
Yeah, what did you call me again?
I bet, I bet we don't make it,
(Bet we don't make it)
Cause I never take advice from my friends,
Friends, in very high places,
They're only making beds for themselves,
How very, very selfish,
We'll keep you in mind in the end.

Underdog, just look at the mess you've made.
It's such a shame, a shame,
We had to find out this way.

Revenge loves company, three makes it a crowd,
So wash your mouth, sit this one out.

I think it's about someone who had new found popularity and took advantage of it.

i think they had someone good going with one girl and realised he could get any girl he wanted so he took advantage of it and messed around with other girls. Then when everyone found out and everything was ruined he realised that he was stupid and he had everything he needed in the beginning.

hence: "it's such a shame you had to find out this way" he only founded out that he loved her when he lost her

so tbh when i saw the music video, my original take on it was that all three of the people in it were underdogs. allow me to explain...

the brunette girl fights with her boyfriend because she saw him kissing the blonde girl, and then they start kissing and the blonde girl comes back, and is angry and surprised to see the brunette kissing him, because maybe she thought she was the only one he was seeing. the brunette girl looks satisfied that she got the boy back, and the blonde girl stormed off. the brunette starts dancing around the middle of the song, and you suppose it's because she's sharing her emotions, after seeing the boy cheating and dancing to this song about cheating, but then in the end she upsets the blonde girl by kissing the guy in front of her, even though the blonde girl didn't realise the guy was cheating with her, so it turns out the brunette girl messes things up too.

basically, at the end the boy messes things up by kissing both of the girls, the blonde girl messes things up by kissing the guy without finding out if he has a girlfriend or not, and the brunette girl messes things up by kissing the guy again to spite the blonde girl, who didn't really do anything very wrong, as it could have been fixed by an explanation and apology. they are all the underdogs.

in the end, i think the message is that everyone can turn out to be the underdog, no matter who looks like the underdog looks like in the situation. the message is to be careful with what you do, because you might be the one that has messed everything up in the end.

i hope someone read this.. and i'm sorry i didn't explain the actual song lyrics, i was sort of just interpreting the music video. still, the music video reflects the meaning of the song.

Can't wait till "Hold Me Down" is released, if the rest of the album is as good as this and "The Consequence" I'll be happy. :D

this song is oh-so catchy :) a few minor errors in these lyrics: "They're only making beds for themselves, selves are very very selfish.." and "so watch your mouth..."

This song is about three people, and the guys dating this guy, and then this other guy comes around who is definitely not very popular, but tries to be to get the girl. "underdog just look at the mess you made", just goes to show, that he found out, and he's not impressed, however he doesn't want the girl either.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
