"Lakeside" as written by Mpumelelo Mcata, Themba Buthelezi, Johannes Makananise and Tshepang Ramoba....
Down by the lakeside
The paramedic threw his hands
To nurse the broken lesion
But where did it all go wrong?

Happiness is near, and happiness is here

Down by the lakeside
Your life flashed before your eyes, before your eyes
Where did it all go wrong?

Happiness is near, and happiness is here

General Commentawesome song. i watched a live version of this song and it sounds like he says "there in/by those brake lights" where you have the ???. i'd have to agree with the rest of it, it's what i thought he was saying!

General Commentas far as i know this songs about driving past a fatal car wreck that happened by (duh) a lakeside.
i guess the irony is that the whole 'life flashed before your eyes' thing only happens when you escape a near death experience, but its written from the passer-by's point of view so its more about how the site of other corpses reminds him of his own mortalitty. Another cool thing is the double meaning of 'Where did it all go wrong?', which could refer to what could've caused this car wreck and also where did it all go wrong in his life.
