So where's the one you've been speaking of
Is he hiding somewhere
Or just inside your head

You built this prison by yourself

I can see, you're falling in front of me
And don't make it so easy
I can see, you're not getting anywhere
So pretend this was never yours

You suffer, you suffer
Just like I saw
Don't tell me, don't tell me
where we go from here

Waiting for your final answer
Just give it up
Just letting know

You built this prison by yourself

I can see, you're falling in front of me
And don't make it so easy
I can see, you're not getting anywhere
So pretend this was never yours

I can see, you're falling in front of me
And don't make it so easy

You built this prison by yourself
Dug this grave with your own hands
Pretend this was never yours

I love it when you lose yourself
It makes it easy to forget you
Pretend this was never yours

I can see, you're falling in front of me
And don't make it so easy
I can see, you're not getting anywhere
So pretend this was never yours
I can see, you're falling in front of me
And don't make it so easy

And you're not getting anywhere
and you're not getting anywhere with me

So to me this song is basically about how a girl cheated on him (whoever the song is about.) He knows that she has been cheating on him, and he wants nothing from her anymore. She tries to talk her way out of it (maybe she had done it before), but this time he wasn't buying any of it. Through all of her attempts to make it right she just dug her grave deeper and deeper. That just pissed her off, and from her tantrums the guy found it easier and easier to let go of her.

"You're not getting anywhere with me." Sums it all up.

    This is a great song.

I agree with AdamLyon. This song is definetly about cheating and how she is just making it worse for herself with all the lies she tells him; eventually making him fall out of love with her.

Yah I thought it was about a girl at first too, but when I really read through the lyrics I thought something different. Basically, it sounds like it's about somebody who tries to take all the problems of his life but can't do it all. The singer is telling him that he warned the guy that he can't do it all by himself and he needs God in his life to give his problems to. Just a guess

    My Opinion

In my opinion, this whole album was about the certain female the lyrics seem to portray in all of the album's songs. If you actually paid close attention to Blessthefall's parody of "The Hangover", and "Dude, Where's my car", you'd realize that all of these comments you're leaving about these lyrics are about 'breakups' then it'll finally click.

In the video, "Hey Baby Here's That Movie You Wanted", you hear the phone ring and then comes the; "Hey Beau, you are a fucking liar, you are worthless. I never want to talk to you, or speak to you again, so go fuck yourself..Fuck you." Now, continue watching the parody, and you'll figure it out.

After all of the confusion and mayhem, Beau catches his ex getting pretty heated up with some fat guy in a moose outfit. You'll also realize that the girl was pissed off because she thought Beau cheated, when in reality, beau and Eric switched phones, Eric got busy with some old lady and Beau's ex heard it, thinking it was him, so she went and screwed around with that fatty moose character.

NOTE: I'm not saying this is the REAL background to this album, but hey, it's an effort.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.

Midnight
Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms. “Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
