I met a girl today
As pretty as could be
With a voice like summer and eyes like the sea
And those great blue oceans were staring right at me
As she started walk my way.
I kissed a girl today
And it was everything I'd hoped.
Little did I know I put my neck into her rope.
When she was kicking, when she was kicking out the chair.

She's like sand through my fingers,
determined to slip away.
I hit the floor today,
As nimble as could be.
Your blue eyes turn as I slowly hit my knees,
and those great blue oceans were growing far from me.
