Give me reason to stay here
Cause I don't wanna live in fear (don't wanna live in fear)
I can't stop the rain
But I can stop the tears
Oh I can fight the fire
But I can't fight the fear

No more, I just can't live here
No more, I can't take it, can't take it
No more, what do we stand for
When we all live in fear

Give me a reason to believe
Cause you don't wanna see me leave
I can't stop the rain
But I can stop the tears
Oh I can fight the fire
But I can't fight the fear

No more, I just can't live here
No more, I can't take it, can't take it
No more, what do we stand for
When we all live in fear

No more, I just can't live here
No more, I can't take it, can't take it
No more, what do we stand for
When we all live in fear

To me, I think this song is about how he can control the smaller things in life but he can't control the bigger things in life "I can't stop the rain but I can stop the tears".

He's had enough of living in fear hence the song title "no more". He can't control the fear say if it's about a relationship or whatever, he's deciding to move. "Give me a reason to stay, coz I don't wanna live in fear".

Well that's what it is to me. Powerful song indeed.

I can understand your guys meanings to this song but i think its about suicide. He is basically saying that he cant take it anymore and he doesnt have a reason to live hence the title "No More". Also he doesnt say No more, I just cant live here, he says I just cant live.

I think this song more refers to a person asking why they are alive and saying they've had enough of being lied to by themselves and others while searching for the answer. "Give me reason to believe, Cause you don't wanna see me leave," its rather fitting with my mood as of late.

to me it's about being pushed to your limits and feeling as though you can't go on; but it also sounds as though he's not really looking for a reason to stay but he may be considering it due to someone who really needs him.

love this song, by the way. one of their best [in my opinion].

One of their best song IMO, obviously the lyrics explains what the song means.

    My Opinion

I agree, this is one of my favorites. However, it sounds like in this part: "I cant stop the rain But i can stop the tears, Oh i cant fight the fire, But i cant fight the fear." The lyrics go "can" "can't" "can" "can't" or the opposite.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.
