If you gotta start somewhere, why not here?
If you gotta start sometime, why not now?
If we gotta start somewhere, I say here
If we gotta start sometime, I say now

Through the fog there is hope in the distance
From cathedrals to third world missions
Love will fall to the earth like a crashing wave

Tonight's the night
For the sinners and the saints
Two worlds collide in a beautiful display
It's all love tonight
We may step across the line
We can sail across the sea
To a city with one king
A city on our knees
A city on our knees
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh

If you gotta start somewhere, why not here?
If you gotta start sometime, why not now?
If we gotta start somewhere, I say here
If we gotta start sometime, I say now
Through the fog there is hope in the distance
From cathedrals to third world missions
Love will fall to the earth like a crashing wave

Tonight's the night
For the sinners and the saints
Two worlds collide in a beautiful display
It's all love tonight
When we step across the line
We can sail across the sea
To a city with one king
A city on our knees
A city on our knees
Oh, oh, oh

Tonight could last forever
We are one choice from together
Tonight could last forever
Ooh

Tonight could last forever
We are one choice from together
Family
We're family
Oh, tonight could last forever
We are one choice from together
You and me
Yeah, you and me

Tonight's the night
For the sinners and the saints
Two worlds collide
In a glorious display
Cause its all love tonight
When we step across the line
We can sail across the sea
To a city with one king
A city on our knees
A city on our knees
Oh, oh, oh
A city on our knees
A city on our knees
Oh, oh, oh
If we gotta start somewhere, why not here?
If we gotta start sometime, why not now?

    My Opinion

This song makes me happy. I like it a lot. I saw that there were no comments on this, so I had to type something. My friend Rimac once said that this song made her smile. Another comment from the fellow friends was that it was simply amazing. It brought a tear of joy to my one eye! I am going to church tonight, where Andrew, Blake, and the rest of their band, known as PRELUDE, will be playing music. One song they are going to play is "Give Me Your Eye". I think I'm going to like that song, because of my odd face deformity that causes me to only one mouth. Does this Tobias "Toby" Kevin Michael McKeehan have 2 eyes? I will pray for him if he does. Ummm I am not normally good at writing. I mean, most of the time I get totally off subject. Did you know that the lead singer of the band Chasen is Chasen????? I did, and now you do too. He is pretty much not related to me at all, and I have never seen him in my whole entire years of life. Sad day. Sad day. Did you know that the last thing I said was not a sentence????? I really should write a novel about my life. It would be years of this ................................................................................................................................................. and eventually it would end and dust would gather upon it. Cool huh? I wear a surf board on a bracelet upon my wrist. It reminds me of my Colorado roots. My friend Rimac is from Cananada. Quebec to be exact. Her and I speak French to each other. It confuses people. We also speak English. Now when we do that, boy does it confuse people! How long are these things supposed to be? Did I exceed the limit???? Rimac can scream like those boys in those emotional bands. She did it at Eaglepalooza whilst wearing all black with a very purple streak on her sleeve and two soft pink parallel lines on her left trouser. She made the roof collapse. One big jump and everything came tumbeling down. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, clapped for her because she rocked their socks off. I mean literally knocked them plain and clearly off of their little toes. We were cleaning up dirty socks for weeks. She hanged them on her wall when it was over. Kind of like that family did with graduation caps in that popular vampire movie. Then the whisperers tied them on the power line. We were then eating fried socks for many a day. I think I'm done(finished would be the proper term to use, but this whole letter/ commentary thing is improper).

Wow... Whenever I listen to this song, I feel like I can do something. It's like, right here, right now.

And it's all for God, coming together as one in Heaven... And to those who cried when they listened to it: You're not alone.

    Song Meaning

This song is talking about setting aside our differences and coming together. It it talking about hit fact that we can all unite, to be a city with ONE KING (One GOD (Jesus))), and be a "City on our Knees". That is, to pray to the One True God, Jesus Christ.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
