Sweat will pour from my flesh
Onto the hot dance floor
It seems that you're all here for me

It's a dance party and everyones invited but you
Cause we forgot about you
It's a dance party and everyones invited but you
We're happier without you

Sweat will pour from my flesh
Onto the hot dance floor
It seems that you're all here for me
You adore what I do
Keeps you begging for more
It seems it's always been your dream

It's a dance party and everyones invited but you
Cause we forgot about you
It's a dance party and everyones invited but you
We're happier without you
It's a dance party and everyones invited but you
Have fun at home with your TV
It's a dance party and everyones invited but you
Say Hi to your mom for me

Sweat will pour from my flesh
Onto the hot dance floor
It seems that you're all here for me
You adore what I do
Keeps you begging for more
It seems it's always been your dream

Musics simple, plain to see
Not near as hard as D&D
Some people try to disagree
But they're no Bach or Tchaikovsky
Just music douches, it kills me
To see what they truly believe
That they're the one true prodigy
When really it's this easy:
Verse, Chorus, then repeat.
Verse, Chorus, then repeat.
Only words to a simple beat
Programmed synth to keep things neat
Synthy bass with real guitar
Sweet vocals with sampled stars
What I can be you can be
Just vent the angst professionally

Sweat will pour from my flesh
Onto the hot dance floor
It seems that you're all here for me
You adore what I do
Keeps you begging for more
It seems it's always been your dream

Sweat will pour from my flesh
Onto the hot dance floor
It seems that you're all here for me
You adore what I do
Keeps you begging for more
It seems it's always been your dream

To those who don't know who Back or Tchaikovsky is.. famous old composers, can't remember exactly what era's but if he was refferring to J.S. Bach would've been in the Baroque Era, but could've been Bach's in the Classical Era..

Love the DnD reference ;D Since he was uncool (thus the Uncool song on the Take Me, Break Me, Make Me Pretty album).. To those who didn't know that.. Dx

Rest is pretty straight forward.. D=

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
