Where do you go when she's saying it's over
And she's played into soda mixed with whiskey and you can't get closer?
If she can't hug you, then fuck you
If she can't hug you, then fuck you
But she's saying she still loves me
Will I sleep sober or sleep alone?
Of course, it's impossible
To see a future with your eyes shut

She used to be the sweetest girl
She used to be the sweetest girl ever, ever
Now she's got me mad at a letter stuck in a dilemma
Let's just stop, drop everything
Forget each other's names, forget each other's names
I think I'm gonna be sick and it's all your fault
I haven't slept since I woke up
And found out my whole life was a lie, motherfucker
What a way to wake up, what a way to wake up
Your smile used to keep me up at night
But you won't put up a fight
So I can only fake that I'm over this
And I will

Where do you go when she's saying it's over
And she's played into soda mixed with whiskey and you can't get closer?
If she can't hug you, then fuck you
If she can't hug you, then fuck you
But she's saying she still loves me
Will I sleep sober or sleep alone?
Of course, it's impossible
To see a future with your eyes shut

You got your eyes shut and your mouth open
You got my mind fucked and my heart broken
This is the end of everything
So I'm drinking every night
Moved up to harder drugs
And faster women swimming in their venomous linens
It's like the room is just spinning
And no synonym for the Spizz is just winning
Except "The Spizz is just shitting"

Spizzy, Spizzy, Spizzy, Spizzy
Uh oh, your ex has gone crazy
I'm the kind of guy who loves you way past 'til it's dark out
I hope all the other boys rip your fucking heart out
This time there's no hypnotic, just chronic being smoked like the back of a rocket
And I'm still drinking liqour 'cause it fucks you up quicker
I'm about as over it as I am sober, bitch

Where do you go when she's saying it's over
And she's played into soda mixed with whiskey and you can't get closer?
If she can't hug you, then fuck you
If she can't hug you, then fuck you
But she's saying she still loves me
Will I sleep sober or sleep alone?
Of course, it's impossible
To see a future with your eyes shut

Sometimes you run, sometimes you hide
Sometimes you're scared of us
But all you really want is to hold me tight
Treat me right, be with me day and night
Baby, all we need is time

I'm not an angel but you're so everyone else
I'm not an angel but you're so everyone else
I'm not an angel but you're so everyone else
I'm not an angel but
Why does every song played remind me of you?
No silky soft skin medicine
There's booze on my breath again

Alright, stop, collaborate and listen
(There's booze on my breath again)
Spizzy spitting back with her brand new decision
A decision of omission (there's booze on my breath again)
Made under visions of kids sitting around wishing to get you spinning
No supervision (there's booze on my breath again)
And I'm drinking like a motherfucker
And I'm drinking like a motherfucker
(There's booze on my breath again)

Where do you go when she's saying it's over
And she's played into soda mixed with whiskey and you can't get closer?
If she can't hug you, then fuck you
If she can't hug you, then fuck you
But she's saying she still loves me
Will I sleep sober or sleep alone?
Of course, it's impossible
To see a future with your eyes shut

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
