2, 3, 4

I've been waitin' here for days
Tryin' to catch a break
The way I'm livin', it's gonna cause my heart to ache
'Cause all the money I had is gone
All the money I had is gone

I've been high and I've been low
I've been east and I've been west
The way it goes, I'll never get no rest
'Cause all the money I had is gone
All the money I had is gone

The wayward son
He never gets nothing done
If I had some money, I'd be on the run
But all the money I had is gone
All the money I had is gone

All the greedy hands
That live around this land
They'll be wiped away come judgment day
And all the money I had is gone
All the money I had is gone

All the money I had is gone
All the money I had is gone

I can weep and I can cry
I can wonder why

General CommentIt seems pretty clear that he once *had* some money, yet now it is gone. And it pains him sorely.

I think "green hands" is "greedy hands" and "Deliver" is "That live"

    All the greedy hands
    That live around this land...

General CommentHe had money an d now its gone. He's been east and west. If he had money he would be on the run. I get the vibes that this song is about a traveller coming home and being broke. They lead an interesting life and now its gone along with the money. He wants to leave but doesn't have the ability because he is broke. Thats how this song feels to me. I played this song a bunch of times after I traveled across canada, and i got home and life was boring and i was broke.
