When your tears are spent on your last pretense
And your tired eyes refuse to close and sleep in your defense
When it's in your spine like you've walked for miles
And the only thing you want is just to be still for a while

If your heart wears thin I will hold you up
And I will hide you when it gets too much
I'll be right beside you
I'll be right beside you

When you're overwhelmed and you've lost your breath
When the space between the things you know is blurry nonetheless
When you try to speak but you make no sound
And the words you want are out of reach but they've never been so loud

If your heart wears thin I will hold you up
And I will hide you when it gets too much
I'll be right beside you
I'll be right beside you

I will stay
Nobody will break you, yeah

Trust in me, trust in me
Don't pull away
Trust in me, trust in me
'Cause I'm just trying to keep this together,
'Cause I could do worse and you could do better

Tears are spent on your last pretense
And your tired eyes refuse to close and sleep in your defense

If your heart wears thin I will hold you up
And I will hide you when it gets too rough
I'll be right beside you
Nobody will break you

If your heart wears thin I will hold you up
And I will hide you when it gets too much
I'll be right beside you
Nobody will break you

This song is so...wow... It's pretty obvious what it is about. It is about the person who loves the person more than anything and all they want to do is keep them safe, hide them from the pain. They wont leave their side, always there to look after them. They want them to believe that they will care for them. "I will sing Nobody will break you Trust in me, trust in me, don't pull away Just trust in me, trust me

Cause I'm just trying to keep it together Cause I could do worse and you could do better"

This bit is like they are trying to get the person to believe them because it's what is truelly in their heart but the person may doubt them. The singing keeps the person safe, they just need to trust the person who loves them.

An amazing song. I can really relate to this song. It made the person i showed it to tear up slightly :] It does that to me too. I love all their songs <33

This song is pretty ambiguous. The obvious interpretation is about a relationship, but I'd like to think there's more to it than that. When they were asking for ideas for the music video, I was hoping something would come out with an epic mass of people holding up signs saying things like, "My mom passed away of breast cancer three years ago," and the person beside that would then hold theirs up saying, "I'm a recovering alcoholic," and on and on. Meanwhile, the boys could be acting out a relationship scene, with a girlfriend in the hospital, and the boyfriend being (clearly) right by her side the whole time. The line would lead to the girl in the hospital, and she'd hold up a sign saying something like, "I'm in here because of an attempted suicide." After the climax of the song, the people could flip their signs to show a more positive side, like, "And now, I walk for the cure, and have helped raise millions of dollars for cancer research," and, "I've been sober for seven months!" Lastly, the girl could flip her sign and say, "I'm so happy to be alive." or something.

If the video had been something like that, I think it would've been way more meaningful and interesting. It brings in the concept of never being alone, which I like.

But whatever, they went and did a relationship video with Josh being the main guy... sigh.

all the lines like this and stuff lead me to think it reflects on his drug addiction and would be there for someone cause he wishedsomeone was for him or maybe someone did -- i dunno what do u think??

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
