Is it over for us?
Have we spent all we have?
Is it all in my head?
'Cause it's driving me insane.
I want something real to happen,
Soemthing pure and out of my hands.

'Cause you lift me up, oh yeah,
And you cut me down to size.
I've decided I won't change,
No, I won't change for you.
I've decided to look out for myself,
But you make it so hard to do.
So, go on and paint a picture in my mind,
I'll do the best I can to forget.

And, you left me up, oh yeah.

I try to tell myself, "Forget it,
She's not really worth it."
And, I swear to god,
Think I'm losing my mind over nothing at all.
I guess it's true,
Maybe this world is just not meant for me.

She must think I'm crazy.
Oh, she must think I'm crazy.
Oh yeah, she must think I'm crazy.

I take a drive in my car.
I thought I'd try to clear my mind.
Now, is your house that far?
I thought I'd stop and say hello.
Now, I know its not good for me,
So I drive home with my head high.

And you lift me up, oh yeah.
I try to tell myself, "Forget it,
She's not really worth it."
And, I swear to god,
Think I'm losing my mind over nothing at all.
I guess it's true,
Maybe this world is just not meant for me.

She must think I'm crazy.
She must think I'm crazy, yeah.
Oh, she must think I'm,
She must think I'm...

I try to tell myself, "Forget it,
She's not really worth it."
And, I swear to god,
Think I'm losing my mind over nothing at all.
I guess it's true,
Maybe this world is just not meant for me.

She must think I'm crazy.

I cant believe no one has commented on this song! It's one of my favorites maybe because of the lyrics, i find them relatable and amazingly true. A guy cant get over his ex, he spends his time thinking about the relationship (mostly bad stuff) and tries to convince himself that he can do much better, but still he cant get her off his mind. I love the lines:

Now, is your house that far? I thought I'd stop and say hello. Now, I know its not good for me, So I drive home with my head high.

I've felt that way, and i used to say "there's nothing wrong with stopping by to say hello" and after i did it, i felt terrible. I like that the guy realizes THIS IS NOT GOOD FOR ME so now he can walk away with his "head high".

yeah, it's pretty crazy how no one has commented on this song. Well, to me, this song is about a guy who just can't get over a girl and acts sutpidly around/towards her, but he doesn't mean to... and he thinks she thinks that he is crazy. blah.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
