You're always dying inside
That much closer to home
A crowded street corner
Surrounded by people, all alone.
Pain in the heart
Ran in the dark
The wind is glum and bitter
She walks around the corner
Its like she brought the sun with her
Then everything just brightened up
I couldn't make this up
My fingers in my eyes as she walked by
Like I was waking up
In so many words
I couldn't string a sentence together to bother her
I instantly forgot all my plans and started to follow her

Its like the sky opened and God handed you directly to me
I know it sounds crazy but so is life, I'm sinking
Feeling like your heart is beating solely for me

Your legs are long and toned
You must be walking home
I love the way your lips move
When you're talking on your phone
Intoxicating and truly viewing impurities
Plague every thought of you
While I'm trailing you like your security
Lost, we couldn't know our paths would cross
But time knew it
Feet sticking out the window of opportunity
Climbing through it
Pain for sale
Looking to find a new taker
Chance to speak blown
When you looked at me
I looked in the newspaper

Because the sky opened and God handed you directly to me
I know it sounds crazy but so is life, I'm sinking
Feeling like your heart is beating solely for me

I'm miles out of my way
Creepy, I want more
I would've turned back
But you stuck your key in your front door
I'm standing across the street
The stars have aligned us to meet
Standing outside with your trash
Feeling incomplete
My finger aching for your doorbell
Like a random blob
Instead I lurked outside in the cold
Like an abandoned dog
Perish the thought:
You should cherish the words that I got in my mouth
The only words that can truly explain how I got in your house

Because the sky opened and God handed you directly to me
I know it sounds crazy but so is life, I'm sinking
Feeling like your heart is beating solely for me
Unlikely, impossible, I couldn't dream and think it
There's something happening between us, you can't deceive
I'm so in over my head I've learned to breathe in it
Your eyes are screaming and they're saying "No, baby" to me
If there was a way out I think you would've taken it
My hands and arms are the only way that you can leave
Face to face for the first time you feel what I'm feeling
Selfishly no longer breathing
Because
Of me

This song sounded so dark and haunting i had to look up the lyrics because I like music like that. Definitely about a guy who falls crazy in love for a random chick, stalks and kills her.

i think it's about a serial killer and since he's a serial killer then clearly the way his mind works wouldn't be quite normal which i think is why he believes that god sent him the girl, just like any other, maybe to justify why he does what he does. but yeah i really believe he's a serial killer who goes after every girl he finds beautiful

    My Interpretation

I don't know if any of you have seen the music video, but I think the interpretation is pretty clearly displayed there.

in his album Depart From me, at the end of the song depart form me, he says: "this song here, this song was is written by a serial killer." and then i never knew you starts.

im not saying that the song was actually written by a serial killer. but i think that this is the meaning. nothing more. he (the one in the song) is a serial killer, who saw a girl, and kill her.

ps. In terms of interpretation/meaning, I think it's pretty clear this song is about a guy who is so completely overwhelmed with feelings of 'love at first sight' for this woman that he becomes an obsessed stalker in the midst of his failed attempts to pursue her.

    My Interpretation

I think it's about some depressed kid who sees a beautiful woman walking down the street and her beauty beats him out of his depression for a while. He actually believes that this beautiful woman was sent by God to save him, a personal angel of sorts. Whether he actually does or not stalk her, rape and murder her eventually is irrelevant because I think the point is that his depression wins in the end. The beautiful woman was only a temporary relief from his pain.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
