What if my dreams never took the back seat?
Would my life then feel complete?
What if instead of meaningless distractions
I started putting my words to actions?

Would the guilt
Still eat me up inside
Oh after all this time I
I can't decide which is worse
Regret or rejection

Well I've been waiting so long
I haven't had my song
Shared quite like this before
But like a man with no alibi
I'm caught red handed
And I have no more excuses
Unleashing my truth and my destiny I now command it

What if I smiled to everyone I meet?
What if I kept my feet dipping into lakes of expansion?
What if I cleared my mind?
Would I come to find that the soul would have a chain reaction?
Would the words suddenly come to mind?
Followed by sounds that speak in time?
Oh would it be so divine?

Or would the guilt still eat me up inside
Oh after all this time I
I can't decide which is worse
Regret or rejection
Well I don't know but I'll have to make a decision

Well, I think that the lyric "I am you umbrella, Megan." is like a clue to the meaning. I think it's about older sisters (maybe brothers too, I dont know) And how you don't have to follow their path. Or maybe how just because their older than you, doesn't mean that you can't be the one they look up to, or that they won't need you to stand up for them. Also how older siblings are such a big impact on the younger one's life.

I don't know, that's what I get out of it.

    Correct lyrics:

Stand tall Head and shoulders down They don't make'm like us anymore You failed to see that I am not your shadow I can be more

You said the world is hard to face I am your umbrella, Megan But I can keep up with it's pace If you let me go

I was running to see you down the line What if I've built up what was mine What if I didn't forget passion like you did What if I find my purpose first What if I fulfill my life's work What if you counting on my failure made me live

Not scared. I know you thought I was shakin' fast in my own two shoes But these soles could fight the ocean waves, Dirty laundry, and world war II

Finally I see past my front hands Not a coward's pissed-stained pants Thank you for telling me I can't Without you, I wouldn't be where I am

What if I see you down the line What I took back my lost time What if I didn't forget passion like you did What if I find my purpose first What if I fulfill my life's work What if you counting on my failure made me live

If you see me again, You won't know my face But you'll recall my hurt Inside of me, a side of you is placed

When I see you again, I won't be bitter You, you're so far to blame You're part of this change I am so much of you I won't ever be the same

What if I see you down the line What I took back what was mine What if I didn't forget passion like you did What if I find my purpose first What if I fulfill my life's work What if you counting on my failure made me live What if you counting on my failure made me live What if you counting on my failure made me live

I think it's about Meg saying she can stand up for herself all while not having to follow her sister's path, she'll live all the more fiercely because Dia is counting on her failures. Dia is just trying to protect her little sister and be her umbrella from everything.

I feel in sync with this song. Big sisters don't want to give up their passion and cajole their little sisters through life, but they want to be their "umbrellas", sometimes. And little sisters want to prove themselves to their big sisters. I think anyone close to a big/little sister could relate to this... :) Love it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
