Dragon lips I say goodbye
But baby don't you cry
Be too cool to ever be
With a tiger by your side

Money talks a single side
Paid my dues to move the tide
Caught the moonlight in my shoe
With a tiger by my side

Trekking through an open mind
I got a window in my spine
Felt the miracle in my stride over
Making music in my mind
I'm blending colors for the blind
Melt the pinnacle your times not over

Rabbit trips can take their time
But fun is fun and that's all right
Diving deep as whales sleep
Counting heroes on my feet

Widow in a falling star
Healing scars with my guitar
Sirens speak to apple tree
And the tiger plays a part

Seen about a million roads
I've done the bong to Tokyo
I've been a clone and had a little luck

Swam across the golden sea
A certain price of levity
It brings us up and only makes us sleep

Television changing channels
Telling people wearing flannels
Culture shocking walkways to the shore

Even though I never know and
Even though I never know and
Even though I never want to know

Trekking through an open mind
I got a window in my spine
Felt the miracle in my stride over
Making music in my mind
I'm blending colors for the blind
Melt the pinnacle your times not over

Seen about a million roads
I've done the bong to Tokyo
I've been a clone and had a little luck

Swam across the golden sea
A certain price of levity
It brings us up and only makes us sleep

Television changing channels
Telling people wearing flannels
Culture shocking walkways to the shore

Even though I never know and
Even though I never know and
Even though I never want to know

I think this song is a note to his wife, Jodie, telling her not to be mad for him leaving home and touring (or rather, blending colors for the blind)

Dragon lips I say goodbye - his wife is mad at him for leaving home and touring (breathing fire/dragon lips)

But baby don't you cry - telling his daughter not to cry

Be to cool to ever be - stay away from (drugs)

With a tiger by your side - drugs (things that make you see tigers and giant blue elephants etc.)

Money takes a single side - you're either rich or poor

Paid my dues to move the tide - he's paid his dues for long enough, now he's famous he's going to make the most of it and influence the world in a big way

Caught the moonlight in my shoe - he's caught something that you can't hold or keep, he's got it for now

With a tiger by my side - with the help of crazy visions haha

Trekking through an open mind - with the aid of drugs he's managed to open his mind

I got a window in my spine - he's opened himself up to the world

Felt the miracle in my stride over - he's felt what it's like to be famous in his tours with The Sleepy Jackson (true)

Making music in my mind - he's got some more music for us

I'm blending colours for the blind - he's painting the world for people who have never seen inside his mind

Melt the pinnacle your times not over - replace the person before you, take over (she's in her prime bro she should take over the magazine that she works at)

Seen about a million roads - literally

I've done the bong to Tokyo - again, literally

I've been a clone and had a little luck - he's taken from Prince and modelled himself after him, proving successful

Swam across the golden sea a certain price of levity - leaving home, crossing the "golden seas" is the price to pay

It brings us up and only makes us sleep - money is why we get up in the morning, but all it does it give us a place to sleep

Television changing channels telling people wearing flannels - these are the people he's targeting, the ones sitting in fron ot the television in their pyjamas

Culture shocking walkways to the shore - freaking people out worldwide, but lighting the way for some to get to the "golden sea" :D

Even though I never know and even though I never know and even though I never want to know - He doesn't know what she'll think, he reiterates that, and he doesn't want to know how mad she is at him, but he loves them both <3

Oh and I forgot this part:

Rabbit trips can take their time - his bouncing around the world may take some time

But fun is fun and that's alright - but it's only fun

Diving deep as whales sleep - he's diving deep in to the pockets of producers while they don't realize what's going on (?) he's taking all he can get while they are giving

Counting heroes on my feet - he's got a million and one celebrities talking to him

Widow in a falling star - she'll be "widowed" when he comes home, when he's not a star any more he won't be famous, he'll be a nobody.

Healing scars with my guitar - he's helping people with his music all over the world (true)

Sirens speak to apple tree - sirens are talking to the "forbidden fruit" and in cahoots with the devil, this whole thing is a trick to get him over to the dark side

And the tiger plays a part - drugs are a part of it all

This is a kind of negative look at it, I realize, but it's a more realistic song when you look at it this way. I'm not knocking Luke or the Steele's because I'm one of their biggest fans, but that's just my view on this song, and that's how it makes sense to me.

I read that this song is about Luke's daughter (Sunny Tiger).

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
