This is the last time I will struggle
The eyes of a million follow each step I take walking further into hell
The weak and willing wither under the weight of their own restraint
We hold an ideal of the way it's supposed to be
Every motion creates a canyon left empty

Slowly the path begins to crumble and split
Destruction lurks waiting to fill the void
While the other motions grief and iridescent light

A sense of knowing and divide, this is a choice in which we all relate
A sense of knowing and divide, grief and iridescent light
This is a choice make up your mind
Following step by step in each of our lives

Eyes always following and watching speaking tongues unknown
Following step by step I go
Following step by step I go

It's torn away when I try to hold on
It's torn away when I try to hold on
It's torn away when I try to hold on

I grab the end of my senses, dragging them to reality
And as I see who I am now this is the path to being free
I grab the end of my senses, dragging them to reality

And as I see who I am now this is the path to being free
This is the last time I will struggle
The eyes of a million follow each step I take walking further into hell
The weak and willing wither under the weight
We hold an ideal of the way it's supposed to be
Seemingly perfect like a grid composed of dots

Following step by step in each of our lives
Eyes always following and watching speaking tongues unknown
Following step by step I go

APOLOGIES FOR THE COMMENT ABOVE (HIT TAB TO MOVE IN SEVERAL SPACES AND THEN HIT ENTER TO GO DOWN A LINE THUS HITTING POST) CANT SEE A WAY TO DELETE

This is the last time I will struggle The eyes of a million Follow each step I take Walking further into hell

I see this as having everyone judging each others every move with the way the media tells us what looks good and what doesnt, whats right and whats wrong

The weak and willing wither under the weight of their own restraint We hold an ideal of the way it's supposed to be

the people who are so frozen by the fear of this judgement are crushed by the feelings yet they know who they are inside but cant express it without the fear of the ridicule

Every motion creates a canyon left empty Slowly the path begins to crumble and split

every new idea we get of what looks good or bad causes a new group of people to lose their confidence in them selves causing a canyon like void

Destruction lurks waiting to fill the void While the other motions grief and iridescent light

with this new found problems with ones appearance and not fitting into every-ones "perfect person" idea hatred and anger fill the new void

A sense of knowing and divide This is a choice in which we all relate This is a choice make up your mind

a sense of knowing ones true identity and the divide we all face as we put up walls to cover how we truly feel to gain acceptance, so either be who you are 100% or live knowing your still fake to yourself

Following step by step in each of our lives Eyes always following and watching speaking tongues unknown Following step by step, I go

we all follow media (some more than others) and we all strive to fit in and be the best new thing but we still all judge each other so much harsher than we wish to be judged our self, with everyone watching you for who you are and whispering words of spite and judgment of which you are left to imagine and fear

It's torn away when I try to hold on

you try to hold onto your self but with the worlds ever growing lack of acceptance to each other it gets ripped away

I grab the end of my senses dragging them to reality And as I see who I am know this is the path to being free

by focusing on the reality of what is what you can see who you really are and know that that is living, living with out the fear of prejudice and rejection

This is the last time I will struggle The eyes of a million Follow each step I take Walking further into hell

The weak and willing wither under the weight of their own restraint We hold an ideal of the way it's supposed to be Seemingly perfect like a grid composed of dots

we have been force fed all our lives to be good little people who all wear suits and have great happy little lives and we are all the same we are all simple dots making a grid without a spec of individuality because it was killed off by the fear of judgment

could be grasping at straws but the idea flowed easily and it made sense to me, a real propblem we all face, one of which we need to get over

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
