To me, this song has always just had some special feel to it no other song captures. The way it is structured just gives this vibe of chasing this beautiful girl's voice in the air, but never quite reaching her to know who she is. It's almost like most everyones' lives: We're chasing that beautiful girl, beautiful goal, etc, but never quite reach it to know what it would be like in whole...
I've heard this song (well, the original version of it, Halcyon + On + On is actually a remake) was inspired by the members' mothers' addiction to... I forget what the drug's original name was, but it's sometimes called Halcion.
And this song samples Opus III - It's a Fine Day backwards. I love that, because the Opus III song is pretty awesome itself. And the singer was in the video for the original version of the song (I forget what it's called).
