I can't take another complication
Have mercy please God erasus
I can't take another complication
Have mercy please God erasus

Let me breathe check destroy and upset
On focusing destractions tear me open
All the thoughts in my head are constantly haunting me
I hope that I don't bore you while I whine about it
I hope you won't be saddened while I cry about it
I keep telling myself that there's something more
I keep telling myself that there's something more
I'm lost in this place it's such a waste
I can't watch things further complicate
So if it all fails just throw it back in my face and bury me

I can't take another complication
Have mercy please God erasus
I can't take another complication
Have mercy please God erasus
Eraseus

Everyday I wake up to stagnant bullshit
As soon as I escape there's more stagnant bullshit
This endless propaganda corporate agenda
I'd like to think there's more something more
I hope that I don't bore you while I whine about it
I hope you won't be saddened while I cry about it
So if it all fails just throw it back in my face and bury me

I'm lost in this place it's such a waste
I can't watch things further complicate

Have mercy please God erasus
Have mercy please God erasus
I can't take another complication
Have mercy please God erasus
Have mercy please God erasus
I can't take another complication

I can't take another complication
Have mercy please God erasus
I can't take another complication
Have mercy please God erasus

I love this song. So. Much. Here's my interpretation:

To me, this song is speaking about the world we currently live in and New World Order, along with the dread and anxiety it's put on the vocalist/artist/whatever. Just listen and you'll hear it, easy.

"Let me breathe, check destroy and upset I'm focusing, distractions tear me open And all the thoughts in my head are constantly haunting me"

The significance of "distractions" is prominent because these distractions are the tools that help allow our masters to further their plans. All of these thoughts are haunting him because he can't escape it anywhere; not in his mind or on the outside (which is where the problem lies predominantly).

"I hope that I don't bore you while I whine about it I hope you won't be saddened while I cry about it I keep telling myself that there's something more"

The first two lines are sarcastic. He's trying to get people to understand what's going on and the importance of it but they don't listen. He's trying to tell himself that there's something more to this existence than playing games with our masters.

"I can't take another complication Have mercy please god erasus I can't take another complication Have mercy please god erasus Erasus"

More complications to the quagmire present themselves everyday. Politicians trying to get more draconian bills enacted, environmental disasters like the oil "spill" (false flag operation), police brutalities, etc. These are all symptoms to the larger picture and he knows it. He's begging god to just end it.

"Everyday I wake up to stagnant bullshit As soon as I escape there's more stagnant bullshit This endless propaganda, corporate agenda I'd like to think there's more, something more"

Probably the most explicit stanza of the whole song. That "stagnant bullshit" is more propaganda (as he later mentions) from the media and the government. By mentioning the corporate agenda, he's calling our masters out on how they've managed to bring us down from a democracy to a corporatocracy. As before, he's wishing there was something more to live for other than this stagnant bullshit.

"I hope that I don't bore you while I whine about it I hope you won't be saddened while I cry about it So if it all fails just throw it back in my face and bury me"

I really do like the sarcasm. Still trying to convince others of the nature of our situation. But if it all fails...

    This is my interpretation. ;)

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
