In regards to the meaning of this song:
Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.”
That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.
Draw me under
Cut me open
Take my heart
I give it to you
Hear the thunder
Hold me close
I beg of you
And pause the tragic ending
For just a moment more
Draw the dresser out
And slide it to the door
Take the air out of the room
Close the curtain
And kill the lights
Only seconds
Left to tell you
How I need you
Every night
Pause the tragic ending
For I'm almost out of breath
Whisper in my ear
Take a bite out of my neck
I'd give you blood if that's what you need
To stay with me
You'll be free
And I will die
Sing a song
For they all want to see
How it ends
Bring her along
She can stitch you as you mend
Bury me deep
Lest I travel you again
The tragic ending
Never ends
Do you love me?
You love me
I can feel it in my bones
In dreams you are swimming
Swimming naked out
Take the bottle
Out to sea
Back for good
You hurt her dear
Get a,
It chases me
I don't know that I am here
In this tragic ending
Where we've all those things to say
Wash the sheets
And clear your head
You'll be OK
Bury me deep down
In every song you play
The tragic ending
The tragic ending
The tragic ending
Saves the day
Cut me open
Take my heart
I give it to you
Hear the thunder
Hold me close
I beg of you
And pause the tragic ending
For just a moment more
Draw the dresser out
And slide it to the door
Take the air out of the room
Close the curtain
And kill the lights

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere.
In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
Holiday

Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
Magical

Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
One last night before finally ending it. Just one more nice memory before the heartbreak comes.
Also, he's clearly the one doing the ending:
"Take a bite upon my neck I'll give you blood If that's what you need to stay alive You'll be free And I will die"
He's taken everything and walking away with the power.
I think this song is a woman who is having an affair with a man and the tragic ending is that there is no good way out of it for anybody involved. She's desperate to have him, even though she knows it's killing her ("draw me under, cut me open, take my heart, I give it to you...hold me close, I beg of you"). The title of the song explains everything, she wants to continue the affair and not have to deal with the consequences of what she and the man did.

She's willing to let him end their relationship and "be free," if that's what he needs, even though that will break her heart that she can't have him.

She tells him to "throw the ashes out to sea" which is a metaphor for the end of their relationship. "God forbid you hurt her twice" means that he would end the relationship he was in and further hurt the woman he was with.

"In the morning pay the price" is how the man is going to have to deal with what he has done by giving in to the affair.

"Wash the sheets, clear your head, you'll be OK" means to forget about the physical and emotional aspects of their affair so he can move on. "But bury me deep down in every song you play" means she wants him to remember her, because she still loves him.

"Tragic ending saves the day" means that it was the best possible solution, even though it was a conflict with no actual good ending.
