When you forget me
When you don't remember my name
Not even a memory
Somewhere in the back of your brain

I won't be offended
'Cause I always knew that the day would come,
When I'm not enough to make you stay

You tell me it's not possible, no way that we could break
But nothing is illogical, believe me

Like falling stars over your head
We were bound to burn out, burn like crashing cars
I'll never get over you, never over you
'Cause you are so beautiful, yeah

The world is turning
And time keeps on lingering on
The sun will be burning
Eventually you will be gone

I'll always love you
Oh, believe it or not
But baby, that's not enough to,
Not enough to stop these

Falling stars over your head
We were bound to burn out, burn like crashing cars
I'll never get over you, never over you
'Cause you are so beautiful, yeah

When it's all said and done
I'll be just a speck in the galaxy
Floating far away by gravity
Tell me it's not possible, no way that we could break

Like falling stars
Like crashing cars
Like falling stars over your head

We were bound to burn out, just like crashing cars
I'll never get over you, never over you
'Cause you are so beautiful
You are so beautiful, yeah

    My Interpretation

Feels like my life’s been passing by With happiness just bein' a lie (Nothing's going right) How did I get here, where am I going? (Evident confusion) One more day without knowing Struggling for one more breath As I’m drowning in a painful death (The pain is killing him) Can someone reach out for me? In this dark and dreary sea (He needs help to get out of his pain)

'Cause it seems like no one can Hear the voice that’s calling (Nobody can/wants to help him) Try to take the most I can stand But I keep falling (He's trying to be strong, but he keeps 'falling')

I try to chase the memories away But they haunt me everyday (Something terrible happened, possibly something HE did) I hope I get over this phase 'Cause I’m stuck inside this haze (Teenage angst?) All I need is a simple lift Such a sweet and precious gift (He needs someone to be a friend for him) So I don’t lose it all before What I have left is nothing more (He feels he's losing everything)

In my isolating misery (His sadness makes him feel alone) I feel like the epitome Of darkness and despair (Bad things seem to concentrate on him) Just leading onto nowhere Will I be able to win this race? I’m runnin' at a slow pace (He isn't reacting fast enough) Trying hard to press on But the motivation’s gone (It's not worth it anymore)

'Cause it seems like no one can Hear the voice that’s calling (Nobody can/wants to help him) Try to take the most I can stand But I keep falling (Trying to be strong, but he can't handle the pressure and keeps 'falling')

    Oh

I try to chase the memories away But they haunt me everyday (Something bad happened in his past, possibly something HE did) I hope I get over this phase 'Cause I’m stuck inside this haze (Teenage angst? Perhaps post-break up.) All I need is a simple lift Such a sweet and precious gift (Someone to be there for him, help him up) So I don’t lose it all before What I have left is nothing more (He feels like he's losing everything)

It may not have to be this way Waiting for me they could be a new day (He realizes he can do something to help, wait for a new day) Maybe I can revise And escape from the lies (If he does good, the memories won't haunt him anymore.

I try to chase the memories away But they haunt me everyday I hope I get over this phase 'Cause I’m stuck inside this haze All I need is a simple lift Such a sweet and precious gift So I don’t lose it all before What I have left is nothing more

There could be something more To what my life may have in store (He realizes that just because he feels bad now doesn't mean his whole life will be.) I’ll move from where I began Keep on pressing through to the end (He's going to start all over and keep going until he wins!)

    That's my interpretation. Thanks =]

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Bron-Y-Aur Stomp
Led Zeppelin
This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
