In a time of need only few can see what's wrong
Millions tend to crawl but only those who choose can make it through this all,

Only few can sing like lions 'cause we sing until we're gone
And we've got each others backs until we're back where we belong,

A woman held my shield and through the battle we did wrong,
A man who taught me wisdom through the static we recall,

And maybe when we' re gone our names will echo through the stars,
Every start's got it's ending even when we've learned to rise above it all,

These lies are leading me astray
Its too much for me to stay
I don't wanna live this destiny
It goes on endlessly

I see you so please stay strong
I'll sing you one last song
And then I'm gone
I don't wanna live this destiny
It goes on endlessly

And we once also had a story too
You can see that good men only come in few.
Even in our greatest moments we may win or we may lose
Every song's got it's rules, you've got to learn to make it through

Maybe one day we can choose how it feels to be a woman or a man
Without rules but buried underneath there's a picture glued

So when my body burns in ashes only sing the truth
Let these words strengthen all your views
Because these words were meant for you

These lies are leading me astray
Its too much for me to stay
I don't wanna live this destiny
It goes on endlessly

I see you so please stay strong
I'll sing you one last song
And then I'm gone
I don't wanna live this destiny
It goes on endlessly

An' now I'm floatin' right above my coffin as it closes I look down
I see sigh as she's cryin on my moma's shoulder
I look up into the sky as the gates to heaven open somethin's wrong
Is this destiny or am I goin' home,

What will happen to my soul will I come back I don't know,
Will you meet me when its over let me know,
You can meet me here in heaven don't you ever let me go

This love this hate is burning me away

These lies are leading me astray
Its too much for me to stay
I don't wanna live this destiny
It goes on endlessly

I see you so please stay strong
I'll sing you one last song
And then I'm gone
I don't wanna live this destiny
It goes on endlessly

These lies are leading me astray
Its too much for me to stay
I don't wanna live this destiny
It goes on endlessly

I see you so please stay strong
I'll sing you one last song
And then I'm gone
I don't wanna live this destiny
It goes on endlessly

This love this hate is burning me away
This love this hate is burning me away

To me, this song is like an anti-war song where he is no longer sure if what he was told to do by the military was the right thing to do. The snare drum near the end also reminds me a lot of the military.

The first verse sounds kind of like a pep talk to himself and in a way sounds like the military commercials that you see.

First 5 lines sounds like kind of like saying there are many people who feel like they should do something but only a few actually are brave enough to do it “sing like lions”

The next 2 lines “we got each other’s back until were back where we belong” sounds like he is with his fellow platoon members and they will protect each other until they are back home.

    Skipping down a little bit

“And through the battles we did wrong A man would tell me wisdom through the static we were gone And maybe when were gone they'll look into the stars Every starts got its ending Even when we've learn to rise above it all”

It sounds like they were told to do something that they thought was wrong but the man over the radio gave them orders to and said if you die you will be remembered as a hero.

The next verse that repeats a few times that starts with “These lies are leading me astray” This sound sounds like the regret he has of what he has done and he feels like he was lied to. The war does go on endlessly. And he will “sing one last song until he is gone” off to the next war.

The next verse could be taken as solders and combat references Etc…

    My 2 cents...

this song kicks ass. not sure what the the connection is with this one and "knife called lust" though. the lyrics are pretty much completely different except for that one line.

He also says her name in Gravestone so I'm thinking it may be his daughter.

i thought of it as talking about sexuality. my reasoning is this:

the part that goes: "Maybe one day we can choose How it feels to be a woman or a man Without rules we're buried underneath"

made me think it means something like one day it wont be such a big deal to be gay/les/trans, etc. maybe one day it will be more socially acceptable.

"I don't wanna live this destiny" not wanting to be socially "forced" to remain a man/woman and being able to be who you are inside, not being trapped inside the body you were born in. i guess its more about transgender (and the like) issues, because we all know that Hollywood Undead and Jeffree Star have worked together on music and such.

"So when my body burns in ashes only sing the truth Let these words strengthen all your views"

our bodies are only containers for who we really are. who said those containers cant sometimes be mislabeled?

Of the billions, maybe like only a few people have helped him out: supported his mistakes/taught him better. Songs same to that are meaningful and would still have it after the artist's death. a ponder if after his own death if people would still think about him under any condition. The chorus could mean how he doesn't want to continue living in a world endless sin. To his loved ones to not break like he did and a final oath/song before his death. "I don't want to live this destiny - It goes on endlessly!" Next verse, how in his POV there's not much good people. shit like war and economy going down is forced to be dealt with. Someday, will we finally have this 'freedom' the Constitution promised centuries ago and blabbed about? Someday, will certain sexual orientations - styles - creativity be accepted by society? Will there be reincarnation? When he dies, he doesn't want his thoughts or words to just die like that as well. He wants them to still live, "Because these words were meant for you!" Now that he's died, he's unsatisfied of the people his hurt. Trying to forget it, he tries to move on to going to Heaven. pause, is this really it for him? All these questions are making him wonder if he'll get peace at last, will he ever see his loved ones again, or does nothing happen in the end. As if things would be okay. "Don't you ever let me go!"

Love for the beloved. Hate for the hated. Love of not seeing hated ones again. Hate of not seeing beloved ones again. The people that hated him. The people that loved him. His love and hate for life.

" This Love . This Hate ; Is Burning Me Away. "

Well duhr I could be wrong about these lyrics. There's several more meanings and confusions about the lyrics "I look down and I see, sigh - As she's cryin on my mama's shoulder" Who is /she/? Probably another metaphor, rhyme or something.

"Without rules we're buried underneath There's a picture glue"

glue should be clue, makes more sense that way.

"And we once also had a story too/You can see that good men come in few/Even in our greatest moments/We may win or we may lose/Every songs got its rules/You've got to learn to make it through/Maybe one day we can choose/.../Without rules we're buried underneath/There's a picture clue/.../Let these words strengthen all your views/Because these words were meant for you"

All he's saying is that some ppl let rules control them... when he said that "every songs got its rules, you got to learn how to make it through," he means you have to know when to break them....

and i think the underlining message of the song is that "this love, this hate" is burning him away because no one ever did and no one ever can teach him what the rules are for those emotions.

i also think Sai/Sasha is his sister

I'm not sure what their song is about, but their chorus is about their album, Swan Songs. They named it that because it is the last song a swan sings before dieing. And if they ever break up, the album will be their Swan Song.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
