Come home to your place
I've got a little while
Till I've gotta leave
You know there's been times
Where I couldn't lie to your face
But right now I'm looking at you
Through the window of your soul
I know those little dark holes are beautiful
But I, I hear the words I should be saying
I just wish that you could know
I just think that you should know

That your star is so bright
I can see your core
And you light up my life
So I can see more
I don't care if you're lost
Or you're scared
Or you never, ever
Never, ever wanna be friends

There's a small step outside your place
I've got a little wine
So I can taste all the bittersweet times
That I have felt again
But it's not too late to repair myself
From the damage done
Since I've been gone
And I know
I see the snow
It starts to fall down
I just think that I should go

Cause your star is so bright
I can see your core
And you light up my life
So I can see more
I don't care if you're lost
Or you're scared
Or you never, ever
Never, ever wanna be friends

Please, please belong here
Please, please belong here
Please, please belong here
Belong here
You love me, you love me

Cause your star is so bright
I can see your core
And you light up my life
So I can see more
I don't care if I get lost
And I'll see you again

Cause your star is so bright
I can see your core
And you light up my life
So I can see more
I don't care if I get lost
And I'll see you again

Come home to your place, I've got a little while 'till I've gotta leave. You know there's been times Where I couldn't lie to your face, But right now I'm looking at you, Through the window of your soul, I know those little dark holes are beautiful, But I, I hear the words I should be saying, I just wish the you could know, I just think that you should know.

That your star is so bright, I can see your core, And you light up my life, So I can see more.

I don't care if you're lost or you're scared, Or you never ever, never ever, wanna be friends. (be friends, be friends, be friends, be friends, be friends, be friends)

There's a small step outside your place, I've got a little wine so I can taste, All the bittersweet times that I have felt again, But it's not to late to repair myself, From the damage done Since I've been gone, And I know. I see the snow, it starts to fall down, I just think that I should go.

'Cause your star is so bright, I can see your core, And you light up my life, So I can see more,

I don't care if you're lost, or you're scared, Or you never ever, never ever, wanna be friends. (wanna be friends, wanna be friends, wanna be friends, friends, friends, friends, friends,)

Please be lonely. Please be lonely. Please be lonely (Without me, Without me, Without me)

(Please be lonely) 'Cause your star is so bright, I can see your core. (Please be lonely) And you light up my life, So I can see more. (Please be lonely) I don't care if I get lost, and don't see you again.

(Please be lonely) 'Cause your star is so bright, I can see your core. (Babe, I can see your core) (Please be lonely) And you light up my life, So I can see more. (Please be lonely) I don't care if I get lost, and don't see you again.

There ya go :) Anyway, I sort of think it's about him breaking up with a girl because she's too good for him and he knows it.. I don't know, maybe I'm way off?? More ideas anyone??

Okay i think these are the correct lyrics. tell me if you hear otherwise.

There's a small step outside your place, I've got a little wine so I can taste, All the bittersweet times that I have felt again, But it's not to late to repair myself, From the damage done inside, You've gone and I know, I see the snow, it starts to fall down, I just think that I should go.

(Please belong here/be lonely) 'Cause your star is so bright, I can see your core. (Please belong here/be lonely) And you light up my life, So I can see more. (Please belong here/be lonely) I don't care if I get lost, and don't see you again.

(Please belong here/be lonely) 'Cause your star is so bright, I can see your core. (Babe, I can see your core) (Please belong here/be lonely) And you light up my life, So I can see more. (Please belong here/be lonely) I don't care if I get lost, and don't see you again.

and i just noticed an incorect line.

But it's not to late to repair myself, From the damage done inside, You've gone and I know,

that is wrong It is actually

But it's not to late to repair myself, From the damage done since I've been gone, And i know.

Please Be Lonely makes so much more sense than please belong here because it just simply doesn't sound like it in the actual song. This song is simply about a guy who meets an amazing girl that is beyond incredible and how she just is perfect......But I agree that he feels he isn't good enough and nor feels like anyone is so he knows it won't last and just wishes that she doesn't find any other guy because no one would be good enough.

Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship.
