Your love is nothing I can't fight
Can't sleep with the man who dims my shine

I'm in the bedroom
With tissues and when
I know you're outside banging that I won't let you in
'Cause it's a hard life, with love in the world
And I'm a hard girl
Loving me is like chewing on pearls

You've got me wondering why I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough
You've got me wondering why I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough

Won't go without my fix tonight
It's a little too rough
Prom girl wipes her tears with silver lines
And she can't get enough

I'm in the bedroom
With tissues and when
I know you're outside banging that I won't let you in
'Cause it's a hard life, with love in the world
And I'm a hard girl
Loving me is like straightening curls

You've got me wondering why I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough
You've got me wondering why I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough

I'm shiny and I know it
Don't know why you wanna blow it
Need a man who likes it rough, likes it rough, likes it rough
I'm shiny and I know it
Don't know why you wanna blow it
Need a man who likes it rough, likes it rough, likes it rough

Is it 'cause you don't mean it?
Or because I don't feel it?
Unless it's rough
Is it 'cause you don't mean it?
Or because I don't feel it?
Unless it's rough
(Lady Gaga)

You've got me wondering why I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough
You've got me wondering why I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough

You've got me wondering why I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough
You've got me wondering why I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough, I
I like it rough

i think she's trying to explain her realization of the fact that she likes rough sex because her relationships are so unsatisfying that if she cant feel it in her heart when she's "making love" she might as well feel it somewhere else. and the more she feels it down there the less she'll think about the lack of love there is. or maybe she's been hurt so many times in the past with crappy relationships that rough sex is the only thing she looks forward to, so even when a good guy is "outside banging," she wont let him in. instead she just prefers rough sex, comfort zone. it made more sense in my head...

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
