I just want to be okay, be okay, be okay
I just want to be okay today
I just want to be okay, be okay, be okay
I just want to be okay today

I just want to feel today, feel today, feel today
I just want to feel something today
I just want to feel today, feel today, feel today
I just want to feel something today

Open me up and you will see
I'm a gallery of broken hearts
I'm beyond repair, let me be
And give me back my broken parts

I just want to know today, know today, know today
I just want to know something today
I just want to know today, know today, know today
Know that maybe I will be okay

Open me up and you will see
I'm a gallery of broken hearts
I'm beyond repair, let me be
And give me back my broken parts

Just give me back my pieces
Just give them back to me please
Just give me back my pieces
And let me hold my broken parts

I just want to be okay, be okay, be okay
I just want to be okay today
I just want to be okay, be okay, be okay
I just want to be okay today

I just want to feel today, feel today, feel today
I just want to feel something today (I just want to feel something today)
I just want to know today, know today, know today
Know that maybe I will be okay (know that maybe I will be okay)
Know that maybe I will be okay (know that maybe I will be okay)
Know that maybe I will be okay

General Commentactually, i think this song is somehow depressing but also pretty calming too. Like, something between that. It is sung in a state of complete emptiness, like the feeling you have when you feel absolutely nothing and just want to feel something. You do not want to feel happy or anything, you just want to get ok.

MemoryThis is one of those songs that one hears during a specific time in their lives that seemingly reflects their current situation perfectly. When I first heard the song, I had just been dumped after a long term relationship and was completely devastated. The song lyrics reflected my heart break exactly but the upbeat tempo really made me feel a little better. Of course, I was wallowing in self pity so I refused to believe that at the time, but I realize now that without the countless times listening to the song, I would never have gotten out of my apartment.

Recently, I was heartbroken again, one of those horrible incidents in which one falls for a close friend unaware that it's not mutual until they've fallen way too hard. This song popped back up in my playlist. Fantastic song.

"Open me up and you will see / I'm a gallery of broken hearts."

This line certainly made more sense the second time around because of the sheer and utter devastation my heart had endured in a period of less than six months.
