It's hard to believe
That it came to this,
You paralyzed my body
With a poison kiss
For forty days and nights
I was chained to your bed,
You thought that was
The end of the story
Something inside me
Called freedom came alive
Living in a world without you.

You told me my darling,
"Without me, you're nothing"
You taught me, to look in your eyes
And fed me your sweet lies!

Suddenly someone will stare
In the window.
Looking outside at the sky
That had never been blue...

Ahh!, there's a world without you
I see the light.
Living in a world without you.
Ahh!, there is hope to guide me
I will survive!
Living in a world without you.

It's hard to believe
That it came to this,
You paralyzed my body
With a poison kiss
For forty days and nights
I was chained to your bed,
You thought that was
The end of the story
Something inside me
Called freedom came alive
Living in a world without you.

You put me together
Then trashed me for pleasure
You used me again and again
Abused me, confused me!

Suddenly naked I run
Through your garden.
Right through the gates of the
Past and I'm finally free...

Ahh!, there's a world without you
I see the light.
Living in a world without you.
Ahh!, there is hope to guide me
I will survive!
Living in a world without you.

It's hard to believe
That it came to this,
You paralyzed my body
With a poison kiss
For forty days and nights
I was chained to your bed,
You thought that was
The end of the story
Something inside me
Called freedom came alive
Living in a world without you.

It's hard to believe
That it came to this,
You paralyzed my body
With a poison kiss
For forty days and nights
I was chained to your bed,
You thought that was
The end of the story
Something inside me
Called freedom came alive
Living in a world without you.

Ahh!, there's a world without you
I see the light.
Living in a world without you.
Ahh!, there is hope to guide me
I will survive!
Living in a world without you.

Living in a world without you [Repeat x4]

    My Interpretation

I think the lyrics are about Lauri's struggle with Alcoholism. The Rasmus has so many young fans the band was probably advised against admitting this. Try considering this as a possibility before dismissing it.

"you paralyzed my body with a poison kiss For 40 days and nights I was chained to your bed You thought that was the end of the story. Something inside me called freedom came alive. Living in a world without you"

It's about some guy or girl who are in a destructive relationship where they feel they are just being used and know for themselves that they need to get out of it pronto or else things will get worse.

All in all, it's a great comeback song for The Rasmus. Well done !

The lyrics tell the story about the singer (Lauri) being haunted by his previous relationship, when he was used and emotionally abused.

When "something inside me called freedom came alive" (duh, if you don't get this part, you're thick as brick!) he now sees it's possible he could be "livin' in a world without you"

PS The music video rocks! Hated it when Lauri got hit in the end though... OPPS! Spoiler! ^^"

Love this song .. although at first I thought that it was way too commerce for them, but now when I listen to it, it's just right. "Hide From The Sun" was too dark and now I think it's just perfetc .. and Lauri is blonde once more !! lol

    Anyways ..

The song is obviously about his past relationship .. which I think failed because he was on tour too much and we all know that Lauri isn't the most reliable one when it comes to not cheat x_X

[don't know what that had with the song]

Can't wato see them in Bulgaria for the free concert on 10/29.08 :] \m/

That definitely, for me, says how commitment in a relationship made him feel like he was trapped for what felt like a long time, and he didn't want it, then he decided to 'be free.' Haha, yes, I agree he isn't the most reliable.

Lauri has stated that the song is about something terrible that happened in the world, while they were writing the lyrics. I don't know what exactly that is.

But to me it's about his past relationships. About being controlled by your partner, and then finally letting go, to be free.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
