Frozen, forgetful again
The part where I lose my head
The scene where I'm supposed to speak but instead
I sit and listen again,
I'm stuck with these cards I guess

Leaping from this cliff in my thoughts
I fly like the stones in my heart
Drowning in doubt for what reason
I sit so patiently
Drenched in what you want me to be
I can't escape

I'm ready now oh I'm ready now
Oh I'm ready now come get me

Fearless with cape in hand
Conquer what I need to to mend
Little girls get so broken
But I sit so patiently drenched in what you want me to be
I can't see no escape

I'm ready now oh I'm ready now
Oh I'm ready now come get me

Through with golden roads and perfect love
Too much of your mouth is like too much sun
How I burn, how I burn
I was so patient, waiting for my turn
Fly like stone
As I break every bone
Come get me

I'm ready now oh I'm ready now
Oh I'm ready now come get me

I'm ready now oh I'm ready now
Oh I'm ready now come get me

Kelly said in an interview, that this song is about the music industry and her struggles as an artist to be heard.

This is also my favorite song, mainly on her whole All I Ever Wanted Album! But when I first heard the song, I thought to myself "Oh, I can relate to this." Thought she was talking about being patient for true-love to come. What I didn't know was (Like KCFan25 said) this song has nothing to do with that. Yes, it's about a struggle. She also mentioned on a tour, "This song is about me being a press conference, I really did NOT want to be there. Hope y'all enjoy!"

So to add on what KCFan25 said, she really did NOT want to hear what they had to say. Change, looks, vocals, etc. & change what she wrote from heart.

Lyric : Frozen forgetful again, the part where I lose my head. The scene where I'm supposed to speak but instead. I sit and listen again. I'm stuck with these cards. I guess. (They won't let her get her words out)

Lyric : Fearless with cape in hand (she's a idol, icon, roll model) Conquer what needs to be mend. Little girls get soo broken. (Her true fans, have to listen to another BIG POP hit! Not a song they can relate to or girls from small towns get broken, cause the struggle to be a musician) You decide :)

Also on the lyric : Through with Golden roads and perfect love (Perfect love meaning, I'm sick of writing happy blissful love songs to make the producers happy, I WANT TO WRITE HOW I FEEL) too much of your mouth is like too much sun, how I burn? How I burn? I was just patient waiting for my turn (They continue speaking won't let her get her words in)

&& this song is also like Sara B. - Love song. She wrote the record company a song. They told her to come back with a Love Song. She got ticked off and wrote them "Love song."

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
