This is about bronies. They communicate by stomping.
So let it fall
The ideals, we so cherished
These false gods, hope is a man-made illusion
The perplexity, of weakness
Gather to the fallen
The fallout we created
So let it fall
The images, we held to
These fields of torn bodies
The scorched and pock-marked earth
The stupidity of glory
Gather to the fields of long forgotten graves
We turn back
Only to
See the sky raining fire
Stand knee-deep
In the blood
The levels rising higher
My sweet Pandora, what have you done?
We abide the conflagration
And watch this world, fucking burn
The seeds of my hate, have taken root
In every breathe of life
So let it fall
Let it fall
So fucking let it fall, into the pits of hell
The ideals, we so cherished
These false gods, hope is a man-made illusion
The perplexity, of weakness
Gather to the fallen
The fallout we created
So let it fall
The images, we held to
These fields of torn bodies
The scorched and pock-marked earth
The stupidity of glory
Gather to the fields of long forgotten graves
We turn back
Only to
See the sky raining fire
Stand knee-deep
In the blood
The levels rising higher
My sweet Pandora, what have you done?
We abide the conflagration
And watch this world, fucking burn
The seeds of my hate, have taken root
In every breathe of life
So let it fall
Let it fall
So fucking let it fall, into the pits of hell

This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version.
Great version of a great song,
