Here lies everything
The world I wanted at my feet
My victory's complete
So hail to the king

(Everything you ever)

Arise and see

So your world's benign
So you think justice has a voice
And we all have a choice
Well now your world is mine

(Everything you ever)

And I am fine . . .

Now the nightmare's real
Now Dr. Horrible is here
To make you quake with fear
To make the whole world kneel

(Everything you ever)

And I wont feel

A thing

General CommentReally powerful in lyrics and musically.

I'm almost scared of Dr. Horrible when he's meeting with the ELE. And then that last shot just pulls at my heartstrings. I want to give Billy such a big hug!

General CommentI love this song, but I think that the final scene had a different meaning. When hes just sitting there, without his evil suit on. DOes it imply that he quit the ELE, or that he imagined it all? I'm not sure, but it just doesn't seem right.

General CommentI think the last shot is there to just show us that even though he really HAS become Dr. Horrible and part of the ELE, that he still is Billy inside and he's still hurting.
Beneath the hard, confidently evil exterior of Dr. Horrible is a man that lost the woman he loved most. He's still very human.

General CommentThat last shot is amazing, so skillfully done, and it shows what a lie that last line is.
He got what he wanted, but it's a bitter victory, because he lost the most important thing.

My Opinion I LOVE the ending. There are talks of a sequel, but I like the story as is.

In the beginning we see Billy playing dress-up and trying to be evil, though he’s in general a pretty nice guy (“besides, there’re kids in that park”) and madly in love with Penny, the embodiment of good, but as the story progresses, and Penny falls for Captain Hammer, we see him get a little bit more evil until he’s hell-bent on killing him.

This final montage shows the death of Billy and the rise of Dr. Horrible. With the one good thing in his life now gone, and by his doing, we see that he’s no longer the kid playing dress-up but IS now Dr. Horrible (the way Batman is the real person and Bruce Wayne is the mask). His adversary is defeated, he rules with an iron fist, and is now in the ELE, but he’s not content. He becomes a tragic figure who you pity more than anything, like Mr. Freeze.

General CommentI see no one mentioned that in the background music between "and I am fine..." and "now the nightmares real" you can hear Penny whispering "I'm alive"
