Schacht um Schacht, treiben wir hinein.
Tief ganz tief, graben wir uns ein
Stück für Stück, wir weichen nie zurück.
Mann für Mann, feuern wir uns an.

Wir rackern, wir rackern,
wir drehen uns im Kreis.
Wir schuften uns den Buckel krumm.
Ohne Fleiß kein Preis!

Wir sind die durch die Hölle gehen.
Es gibt kein Morgen mehr danach.
Wir sind die durch die Hölle gehen.
Gott weint uns keine Träne nach.

Stein um Stein brechen wir heraus.
Herz um Herz bluten wir uns aus.
Schlag um Schlag vernichten wir den Tag.
Mann für Mann in den Untergang.

Wir rackern, wir rackern,
wir drehen uns im Kreis.
Wir schuften uns den Buckel krumm.
Ohne Fleiß kein Preis!

Wir sind die durch die Hölle gehen.
Es gibt kein Morgen mehr danach.
Wir sind die durch die Hölle gehen.
Gott weint uns keine Träne nach.

Wir rackern, wir rackern,
wir drehen uns im Kreis.
Wir schinden und wir winden uns.
Wir klagen nicht, wir fragen nicht,
denn dazu bleibt uns keine Zeit.

Macht Euch bereit!

Wir sind die durch die Hölle gehen.
Es gibt kein Morgen mehr danach.
Es gibt kein Morgen mehr.
Wir sind die durch die Hölle gehen.
Gott weint uns keine Träne nach.
Gott weint uns keine Träne nach.

Shaft by shaft, we are digging in deep, quite deeply we are digging a tunnel bit by bit, we will never go back man for man, we spur each other on

struggling were struggling we are turning in a circle we work our backs crooked without perseverance no prize

we are the ones going through hell there is no morning after we are the ones going through hell god cries no tears for us

stone by stone, we are breaking out of here heart by heart, we are bleeding out strike by strike, we are demolishing the day man for man, we are in the downfall

struggling were struggling we are turning in a circle we abuse and coil ourselves we dont wail, we dont question no time is left for us

    ready yourself!

we are the ones going through hell there is no morning after no morning after we are the ones going through hell god cries no tears for us god cries no tears for us

    Song Meaning

The verse about "breaking out...demolishing the day" makes me think the literal meaning of this song has to do with prisoners. Maybe they're working on a chain gang or digging an escape tunnel. Whatever, it's probably not important exactly what these men are working on--what really comes through when you hear it sung is their determination, the tremendous struggle and the grim odds they're facing. These lyrics could be about the hardest parts of anyone's life.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
