Here's a song that I waited to write with you
Think I'll finish it instead
I got enough from you love
That it finishes itself I regret

Oh, but do you like the way that it moves?
Oh, do you like the way that it moves?
Oh, do you like the way it moves?
Oh, do you like the way that it moves?

And there's a song that's been in my head
So many things we said never quite were sung
And take a melody love
And forget the words if you must

Oh, but do you like the way that it moves?
Oh, do you like the way that it moves?
Oh, do you like the way it moves?
Oh, do you like the way that it moves?

And take your time with the meter
The rhythm will find you if you play it through
And if I'm there at the turn dear
We can give an ending that I think this song is due

'Cause I think I like the way that we moved?
Oh, I think I like the way that we moved?
Oh, did you like the way that we moved?
Oh, did you like the way that we moved, that we moved?

Here's a song that I waited to write with you
Think I'll finish it instead

When I saw him play a few weeks ago, he explained that him and his ex were talking for a while about writing a song together, they wrote a little bit, but never ended up finishing the song. After that, he said he just rewrote the whole song about the process of writing it himself.

If btotheeth is right with his interpretation then I know where the artist is coming from with this song. I remember the first time I heard this song, I knew it would be about a girl that I "could" love and it wouldn't be about lust, someone I could really congeal with. It was like a freak of nature when it happened because it was one of those summer flings, and then one thing led to another she broke up with me; and I remember in the back of my head I always wanted to say this song it was I think about you. Now I have long forgotten her face, her voice but I whenever I hear this song I always remember that feeling that I wanted to convey to her. Such as beautiful but cursed feeling.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
