Oh she thinks I'm crazy
Judging by the faces that she's making
And I think she's pretty
But pretty's just part of the things she does that amaze me
She calls me sweetheart
I love it when she wakes me when its still dark
And she watches the sun
but she's the only one I have my eyes on

Tell me that you love me
And it'll be alright
Are you thinking of me?
Just come with me tonight
You know I need you
Just like you need me
Can't stop, won't stop
I must be dreaming
Can't stop, won't stop
I must be dreaming

And she moves in closer
Whispering to me "I thought I told ya"
And oh she's playing games now
And I figured it out
Now that we're,
Now that we're closer

Two kids, one love
Who cares if we make it up
Her voice is sweet sound
Our clothes lay on the ground
She moves in closer (she moves in closer)
Whispers, "I thought I told ya"

Tell me that you love me
And it'll be alright
Are you thinking of me
Just come with me tonight
You know I need you
Just like you need me
Can't stop, won't stop
I must be dreaming
Can't stop, won't stop
I must be dreaming

Remember the day when we started this
And you made the shape of my heart with your hands
We try to make some sense of it
But she called me on the phone and said...

Tell me that you love me
And it'll be alright
Are you thinking of me
Just come with me tonight
You know I need you
Just like you need me
Can't stop, won't stop
I must be dreaming

Go on and tell 'em that you love me
And it'll be alright (I must be dreaming)
Are you thinking of me? (I must be dreaming)
Just come with me tonight (I must be dreaming)
She moves in closer
Can't stop, won't stop
I must be dreaming

    My Interpretation

"Oh she thinks I'm crazy .... She calls me sweetheart" They were flirting

"I love it when she wakes me when its still dark" They just had sex. She woke him up to see....

"she watches the sun but she's the only one I have my eyes on" She watched the sunrise and he couldn't take her eyes off her.

"Tell me that you love me .... I must be dreaming" Foreshadowing a future phone call

"And she moves in closer Whispering to me ‘I thought I told ya’” Her establishing and making sure he understands it is JUST a fling and nothing more.

“And oh she's playing games now ….. Now that we're closer” Teasing him

"Two kids, one love Who cares if we make it up" They’re both in it for the sex, and it’s a made up “love relationship”

"Remember the day when we started this And you made the shape of my heart with your hands" Going back to the first part, where they were flirting, calling her a liar since she plaid a “love” card, then told him there could never be love, and is now “in love” with him again. (make sense? haha)

"We try to make some sense of it" He is beggining to realize there is no point of it, other than sex. And he realizes there actually ISN’T a reason.

"But she called me on the phone and said... 'Tell me that you love me And it'll be alright'" She wants to be in a real relationship with him.

"'Are you thinking of me? Just come with me tonight.'" She is trying to tell him that he is in love with her, and she is trying to take him out on a REAL date.

"'You know I need you Just like you need me'" She is still trying to convince him by saying she can’t be without him

"Can't stop, won't stop I must be dreaming" The “love” won’t stop, even though it is just lust

"Go on and tell 'em that you love me" Pointing out it was NOT a public relationship, just "secret lovers". And this is probably where they cut it off since he refused to go public.

So to summarize: He started out head over heels, while she was playing him. Then they were “secret lovers”. While he got over her as a real love she became attached to him. And he was trying to break it off since he didn’t really have lust for her anymore, but she fell in love and didn’t want him to leave her, and she also wanted something more.

well the way it sounds to me is actually that they were together at a time the reason why i think this is because me and my ex are like this like in the line REMEMBER when we started this? like theryre thinking back and the line cant stop wont stop so it sounds like hes still smitten over her and he cant get over her and theryres still a spark there but like i said thats just what i think

I think this song is kind of like a story/flashbacks. Like the first verse is a flashback to how they used to be really good friends, and he obviously had feelings for this girl. "She watches the sun, but she's the only one I've got eyes for."

And then the chorus is kinda like present day after the story is finished.

And the second verse is kinda like she's teasing him really bad. "Oh she's playing games now." And this flirting/teasing leads to sex. I think that the "I thought I told ya" could refer to something like "I thought I told ya that I wanted to be friends." And the fact that she repeats it after sex means she's confused about where they stand.

And then the flashback to "remember the day we started this, you made the shape of my heart with your hands.." is when she first started flirting with him after they've been friends for a while. And they didn't know how to handle it.

And so now the chorus, (finally) "Tell me that you love me, and it'll be alright. Are you thinking of me? Just come with me tonight. You know I need you, just like you need me. Can't stop, won't stop, I must be dreaming."

The first two times this is sung, it's from the boy's view. Basically him wanting her to tell him that she loves him like he's always loved her. That the sex wasn't some joke. And he can't stop thinking about her, and won't stop thinking about her. This is like a dream for him because it's what he's been waiting so long for.

So I see this as the girl speaking in the third chorus.. Like she realizes she has feelings for this guy. And she needs reassurance that this guy cares about her and the sex wasn't just him "getting some." She can't believe this is real. That they've finally done it and she realizes she loves him as more than best friends.

I think this is such a cute little story haha :) I don't care if it's right or wrong because I feel like songs can have as many different meanings as the number of people on this planet. To each his own.

i think in the beginning it's him that is more blatantly smitten with her and he wants her to say she loves him and she's being like a tease saying she thought she told him (in her own way i guess?). then by the end of the song it turns to her saying what he said and they're in unison of loving each other and expressing that better than they did in the beginning of the relationship? hell i don't know hah. i really love the line "remember the day when we started this, and you made the shape of my heart with your hands"=cute.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
