This is not working
But I don't feel like leaving
Uncertainty is a powerful thing

This room will be
The death of me
It tries my soul nightly
Still I can't bear to leave the comfort of my home

And you take me by surprise
But I've been here too many times
It's all overpriced and watered down

This is not working
But I don't feel like leaving
Uncertainty is a powerful thing

If you could see right through me
To where my heart beats so slowly
You'd see first hand
The damned effects of being alone

And you take me by surprise
But I've been here too many times
It's all overpriced and watered down

You can leave the car outside
We'll be on our way by midnight
I don't care where we go, where we go

I've seen it all before
I'm not the kind of guy to let you go
I've seen it all before
I'm not the kind of guy to let you go
I've seen it all before
I'm not the kind of guy to let you go
I've seen it all before
I'm not the kind of guy to let you go

And you take me by surprise
But I've been here too many times
It's all overpriced and watered down

General CommentKind of trapped by a relationship but reluctant for it to end, because they still have a rough hope that it might get better one day...
But they deny this hope, and cant make up their mind up...

And in the end, the hope over-rules, and they decide to stay together

General CommentI see this song about having a relationship with a place. Feeling alone at a place but not willing to leave it. and the hope of being somewhere else.

But it's possibley just the place being a reminder of a previous relationship.
