U:
I smile when I think back on how our world was created in 7 days
Day 1, the first call started it all
Your voice left me choice but to pursue
Nervous at the thought of meeting you
I left the outcome to chance
Day 2, comes that first glance
Day 3, the first dance
Day 4, the belly flutters
Day 5, the soft sweet-as-apple-butter kisses
Day 6, "this is crazy the way he makes me feel, girl"
Day 7, my world is yours
Whose world is this?
M: Yeah, you know
It's his
Do you remember the sweet surrender?
Do you remember that sweet surrender?
M: The sweet surrender, yeah, yeah
Yeah, you better
M: Ooh

M:
I can recall it all
You and I are being taken over
Although strangers
It was like deja vu
The way you talk, I'm in you
The way you walk, I know I'm in you
Close power
I enquire
To get next to your core
Or entire
Mind, soul, physical fire
I can't deny my senses
Something that was meant to be
My search and urge
Never knowing I did
Then you crossed the Atlantic Sea
And eventually
The love found me

U:
In our favor the balance tipped
As we turned and twisted our way into love
Leaping deep within the deliverance sex and sin bring
Our sin was more like my religion
As we wrote revisions
To the definition
Of passion
Then baby come from
Night flights inside fancy and fantasy
Now we are family
So we
Life, love, and devotion pledged
Then we
Life, love, and devotion dread
Our days of thunder
Put asunder
By our forget
Of the best times spent
I don't where I love went
I don't where I love went
where I love went
where I love went
where I love went

Chorus:
If love is fading away so fast
What are we gonna do?

M:
True
I still feel waves of sensations
I came with seed
And you with creation
(1) Conceived now, beautiful connection
(2) Replaced the desire with attention
(3) Three years passed, we wait in line
(4) The fourth serves
A good year five (5)
The kid's 6 when we start to fight
The 7th year
Tears took it to the limit
We maintain full polarity positions
Time explodes with you and me hidden
We don't hear and we don't listen
Now we're lost

Chorus:
Love is fading away so fast
What are we gonna do?
We're blinded by what's in our hearts
We have to see this through

U: Alright, we got some problems
So how we gonna solve them?
M: Well, let's keep it simple
U: But our life is complex
M: But just as long as we connect
U: So we can move towards the next?
M: Just so we can move towards the future
U: But the future is us
M: Trust me, it's us, in a circle
U: Man, woman, and child
M: The nucleus
U: The beginning
U+M: Take it back to the beginning

Chorus:
When love is fading away too fast
What are we gonna do?
Though blinded by what's in our hearts
We're gonna to see this through
Love is fading away
Love is fading away
Love is fading away
Love is fading away
When love is fading away too fast
What are we gonna do?
Though blinded by what's in our hearts
We're gonna to see this through

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
