Never Had It Lyrics
And swallow pain
For all of those
Who will not speak
You raise your voice
You fill the stage
Your eyes are wide
You know the weakness
That you've felt
Is not just yours
So many more
You're not alone
The songs you sing are not your own
You fill the room with something real
Keep on wanting something more
You never had it
Keep on wanting something more
You listen carefully for whispers of what lurks behind it
You play the corners
Never get too close to where it might be
Waiting for you
Never had it
Keep on wanting something more
You never had it
Keep wanting more
You never had it
Keep hiding the hope and than the pain is not yours
No ones holding a rope gotta pull up on your own.
All the songs have been sung
And all the doors have been closed
Keep on wanting more
You slouch you shrug you shrink away
I call you stop you blink you pause
You wander who
You think the day
Will never end
And when it does
You stay until the building's dark
The doors are locked
You're on the bus
You looked inside
But did not touch
Keep on wanting something more
You never had it
Keep on wanting something more
But you know how to provide it so you
Stand up and call for it
Nervous describing what you go through
You don't wanna get caught up in all the
Things they say to try to provoke you
Don't need anyone to tell you
Keep on wanting something more
You never had it
Keep wanting more
You never had it
Keep hiding the hope and than the pain is not yours
No ones holding a rope gotta pull up on your own.
All the songs have been sung
And all the doors have been closed
Keep on wanting more

I think the song is about social change and how we always want social change and very rarly comes. The song talks about how many people are scared to stand up foir whats they believe in, because there always beeen taught to conform and not to question anything. But thats just my opinion. That wat the song means to me, and thats the beatiful thing about music is that it could mean 100 deifferent things to 100 different people and no one is nessarily right or wrong.

I can't understand why no-one has commented on this song. I think it is the best song on the "Fight With Tools" album.

This is indeed one of my favorites on this album.

I don't like the female voice, somehow I was expecting something different... oh well.

i don't know what the entire song is about but i do know part of it is about a person who speaks up for everyone else and what they say, everyone else feels and thinks but just doesn't say at the same time though they arn't very happy for some reason, there's more too the song but thats all i can get out of it for now
