(chorus)
baby grab your glasses it's gonna be a bright day
(he-ey he-ey he-ey!)
front row at my show
and the first face i see backstage

(verse)
you're my little tamborine
shake shake up my my world
your my girl
baby you are my sound
you you you blow me awayyy
hit the stage and oh my God
is this really gonna be our life?
i couldn't ask for a better one
i couldn't ask for a better light (than)
my baby always with me
hold hands let's-let's move quickly
we've got so much to do
let's make this dream come true
we said it and we meant it
we're crazy and demented
we're just living in the minute
get up get up get up don't miss it!

(chorus)
baby grab your glasses it's gonna be a bright day
(he-ey he-ey he-ey!)
front row at my show
and the first face i see backstage

(bridge)
you're my little tamborine
i'm gonna shake you
baby like a movie scene
i'm gonna make you
smile (smi i i i ile, smi i i i ile)
we're in the spotlight
and they can see us
baby i'm your star tonight
and this light is gonna last
a while (whi i i i ile, whi i i i le)

(bridge2)
you're my little tamborine
i'm gonna shake you
baby like a movie scene
i'm gonna make you
smile (smi i i i ile, smi i i i ile)
we're in the spotlight
and they can see us
baby i'm your star tonight
and this light is gonna last
a while (whi i i i ile, whi i i i le)

(verse2)
you're my little tamborine
shake shake up my my world
your my girl
baby you are my sound
you you you blow me awayyy
you're a fad and i'm a fashion
let's make it make it happen
let's take it all, it's ours
we'll party till the morning hours!
we've got the music oh so loud
but i can hear you loud and clear
as the eyes i'm staring into now
and i'm all ears
we meant it when we said it
live a day and don't regret it
sometim'es they just don't get it
so get up get up and dance

(chorus)
baby grab your glasses it's gonna be a bright day
(he-ey he-ey he-ey!)
front row at my show
and the first face i see backstage
baby grab your glasses it's gonna be a bright day
(he-ey he-ey he-ey!)
front row at my show
and the first face i see backstage

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
