Moody as sunday skies, brought me back to the ground
Where I don't want to be found
No one down here understands
Watch the evening sun run away from the match
When my soul turns off its light
Nothing here will shine through the dark

Damn the cold, cold moonlight moves the seas that makes the waves
That made this seat for me to see and be moved
I'm not crazy I'm just so ready to live this life
Far away from everyone who sees through hopeless eyes

Tell me something good
O I need to live and love today
Like theres nothing in my way
But this light of mine can't save this place

Damn the cold, cold moonlight moves the seas that makes the waves
That made this seat for me to see and be moved
I'm not crazy I'm just too ready to live this life
Far away from everyone who sees through hopeless eyes
Someday I'm waking up with sunshine in my eyes

Kenny Choi is heavily influenced by Robert Frost.

Anyways this song is simply about hopelessness.

What I like though is how he uses a line from his other band: Daphne Loves Derby. He uses a line from: Debussy, but instead of saying Damn the cold, cold moonlight in this song. He says bless the cold, cold moon

I think this song is about someone who lives in an area where people don't have any hope for the world or hope in the person.

"Moody as sunday skies, brought me back to the ground Where I don't want to be found" means others are bringing him down and he isnt happy about it.

"nothing here will shine through the dark" is saying he knows nothing good will come if he just sticks to his current situation.

And with the chorus, he is saying "damn the cold cold moon..." because he hates being the only one who has a longing for something more in life. And he says "this light of mine can't save this place." meaning he has to move on and save himself.

"I'm not crazy I'm just too ready to live this life Far away from everyone who sees through hopeless eyes" is referring to how he has a different outlook on life than most others and there is nothing wrong with it, he's just different. he longs to live a better life instead of settling for the norm.

"Someday I'm waking up with sunshine in my eyes" referrs to the journey and how someday he will achieve his goals.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Magical

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
