Love sick dreaming when we first met
You gave me your world with no regrets
Never thought anything could come against
But oh what did I know

One missed step and I'm on my own
You wash your hands clean of me right or wrong
Behind those doors I was broken and low
Trying to keep it out of sight of the world
I couldn't say

A million miles that I have gone
With signs that say to give it up
Just tear me down or lift me up
No Time For Tears
No Time For Tears
No Time For Tears

Pull myself together and hear the sounds
Oh my hearts been thrown around
I gave you my sky before I found my ground
God, What Did I Know

Now Come On Come On
You Got Me Wrong
Come On Come on
Just Play Along
Thats a love sick dreaming when we first met
Trying to keep in on top of the world
And you just say

A million miles that I have gone
With signs that say to give it up
Just tear me down or lift me up
No Time For Tears
No Time For Tears

I'm going now, what is done is done
Nows that time to shake it off
Break these cycles going on
No Time For Tears
No Time For Tears
No Time For Tears
No Time For Tears

Get up, Get up, Get up
To feel better
Get up, Get up, Get up
To feel better
For worse

This song is such a good song to listen to after a breakup, or after a guy hurts you.

"love sick dreamin when we first met you gave me your world with no regrets never thought anything could come against but oh what did i know" In the beginning everything was perfect, and she thought nothing could go wrong but she was wrong.

one missed step and i'm on my own you wash your hands clean of me, right or wrong. behind those doors i was broken low tryna keep it outta sight of the world i couldn't say I'm not really sure who made the mistake, but it as made, and now theyre done. The guys acting like what they had didn't exist, and shes so hurt by this but she doesn't want to show it.

a million miles that i have gone signs that say to give it up just tear me down or lift me up no time for tears no time for tears no time for tears "She's gone through so much in this relationship, and she should give up but part of her has a little but of hope despite the way the guy has treated her. She's realizing that he's not worth her tears.

pull myself together and hear the sounds oh my hearts been thrown around i gave him the sky before i found my ground god what did i know?

She's regretting that she put so much into the relationship and it was just thrown in her face, but at the same time it was a learning experience for her.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
