Time has a way of casting doubt
Life is a cage they let you out
So fly while you can...

So little time don't let it go to waste
Hold your ground don't throw it all away
And take a chance now...

One will hear the other
One will heal the other
One will free the other
One, it's all the same, same, same

One will hear the other
One will heal the other
One will free the other
One, it's all the same, same, same

So talk. Let em know you feel this way
We all have got something good to say
Seek, and you'll find

So little time don't let it go to waste
Hold your ground don't throw it all away
And take a chance now

One will hear the other
One will heal the other
One will free the other
One, it's all the same, same, same

One will hear the other
One will heal the other
One will free the other
One, it's all the same, same, same

So little time don't let it go to waste
Hold your ground, don't throw it away

One will hear the other
One will heal the other
One will free the other
One, it's all the same, same, same

It's all the same yeah

One will hear the other
One will hear the other
One will hear the other
It's all the same yeah...

I think this song is about either a) love, like "Let 'em know how you feel" and "take a chance"

or b) when someone is hurt, and how one can help someone else, but only if you let them know...

i dunno. anyone else have any thoughts?

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
