"Sun Giant" as written by and Robin Pecknold....
Red squirrel in the morning
Red squirrel in the evening
Red squirrel in the morning, I'm coming to take you home

The sun rises, over my head
In the morning, when I
Hold me dear, into the night
Sun it will rise soon in the falling

The sun rising, dangling there
Golden and fair, in the sky

Ooh, ooh

General CommentI can't believe more people haven't commented on this song.

I think it is absolutely beautiful. To me, this song is just about being grateful to be alive and experience the simple things in life.

General CommentAnyone who lives in Seattle knows how true this is. Though you wouldn't guess it from the last couple weeks...

General CommentI think 'the winded breeze' is 'the wind, it breathes'.

General CommentI also think that the line is "What a life I lead when the wind, it breathes" (Just like how they say 'Sun, it rises')

Also, I am 100% positive that the second verse says 'What a life I lead when that ancient seed is a-buried, watered, and plowed'

Absolutely beautiful song. Amazing harmonies especially on the live versions.
