"Do You Think I'm Pretty?" as written by and Mckenzie Bell Matthew Williams....
There's no window in this room
Not that I really miss the view
It's just that I may soon forget
The way the grass looks when it's wet

It seems too sad to call this home
However, I've had time to think
About the past and write this song
I'm running out of ink

I'm trying hard to read your mind
Built a machine to travel time
"Blessing the globe with pestilence"
This is my magic residence

It seems too sad to call this home
However, I've had time to think
The medication does not work
There's poison in my drink

"Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the lord my soul to keep,
if I should die before I wake,
then that's just my luck, that's just my luck"

They never told me they were going to put me away [x4]
I am not insane
I am not crazy
I am not insane
I am not crazy

I made a magic wand today
Maybe I'll wish myself away
Next to the ocean where birds sing
"These are a few of my favorite things"

It seems so sad to call this home
However, I've had time to think
About the past and what went wrong
I'm running out of ink

Oh the sickness
The sadness
I can't think
I can't think

    General CommentAstute observation.

This sounds like something out of the "China White" storyline, like where the gardener first comes into view.

I saw a video of it, portraying a man who was in a mental hospital. He had several progressive flashbacks to his life before, involving a girlfriend who dumped him. At the end, you find out his "magic wand" is a starter pistol, a garage gun. He goes to the ex's house and sees her with a new boyfriend. Keep in mind, it appears to have been months since he got dumped. When she doesn't take him back, he takes out the gun, shoots the new man, and perforates the girl. Then it goes to more proof of insanity.

Apparently, they never said they'd put him away. This shows me that the cops didn't think that there was enough to prove insanity, but... if you think of the man in this song as the Gardener, it makes perfect sense.

Perhaps this is a side-story to "China White"? I suppose we can't really be certain. But, it certainly seems that way to me.

General CommentAgain assuming that this is aconcept album, Hollywood theme, then he is talking about the lack of good music. First verse= the room is his mind. Outside is the gay music that's being put out these days. He doesn't miss it but may forget what good music looks like.

Chorus: sad that this is what's left for the music industry but can now see what went wrong with the industry.

Verse 2: only in his mind( magic residence) he can go back fix the industry.

Never told me... Put me away: I didn't Think I would be One of the odd ones. Thinks those who make good music should be more popular but bad music seems to be more "normal" .

Last verse: feels like he should quit music and do something else he likes
