I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. Great Song. It reminds me of JLo's song Jenny From The Block in as much as after someone rises from their ordinary class and eventually experience success - thereby distancing themselves from those once familiar. Eva pleas for people to see her for the person who, in her mind, never changed, never stopped loving her past. As she experienced life, she experienced wealth fame and fortune which were illusions to others that kept them from seeing Eva as the person she once was.
