As Much As I Ever Could Lyrics
And rest your weary eyes before we're out of time,
Give me one last kiss, for soon, such distance,
Will stretch between our lips, now the day's losing light.
Hoping you'd hear my plea and come save my life?
As the storm grew fierce and danger was certainly near,
I knew there was nothing to fear.
Bring me your love, tonight,
No I am not where belong,
Bring me your love, tonight.
So shine a light and guide me home.

This is my most favorite song. My fiance had no idea.We saw him a few months ago in concert and I was proposed to during this song! :)

this whole album gives me shivers, i've been listening to it non-stop. is it weird that this song really reminds me of jeff buckley?
i think the actual meaning is fairly obvious: he's away from his 'love', and he just doesn't feel like he belongs where he is. maybe touring alot :S i've noticed in a few songs, the lyrics suggest he'd rather be somewhere else than playing shows. i kind of find that quite disheartening but also i think alot of people would struggle being away from loved ones.
aaaaaaand... i'm done.

This song absolutely reminds of Jeff Buckley, whoever it was that said that.

Whether or not it was intended, I think this song could be interpreted as being about death. Just putting that out there.

Wow... this song is... well not many words can describe this song, other than beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.
When Dallas sings, "bring me your love, tonight" does anyone else get shivers? Or is it just me?
definitely. I love Dallas, he gives me shivers. His voice is outstanding!

i f***ing love the chorus to this song. there is like a build up just before then a release its amazing.

Is it just me or does Dallas really love Charles Burkowski books?

*charles bukowski

This has got to be the sexiest sounding song that I have ever heard.

Such an amazing song. It seems to me that he's struggling against the pain of missing someone and he's trying not to let it overwhelm him, but then in the chorus he's just letting go and it's his SOS.
