Slaves, Hebrews born to serve
To the Pharaoh
Heed, to his every word
Live in fear
Faith, of the unknown one
The deliverer
Wait, something must be done
Four hundred years

So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born pharaoh's son
I'm creeping death

Now, let my people go
Land of Goshen
Go, I will be with thee
Bush of fire
Blood, running red and strong
Down the Nile
Plague, darkness three days long
Hail to fire

So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
Let it be fucking done
To kill the first born pharaoh's son
I'm creeping death

Die, die, die
Die, by my hand
I creep across the land
Killing first born man
Die, by my hand
I creep across the land
Killing first born man
Yeah

I, rule the midnight air
The destroyer
Born, I shall soon be there
Killing mass
I, creep the steps and flood
Final darkness
Blood, lambs blood painted door
I shall pass

So let it be written
So let it be done
I'm sent here by the chosen one
So let it be written
So let it be done
To kill the first born pharaoh's son
I'm creeping death

It's a cover of a Metallica song from their "Ride the Lightning" album. I don't really like this version, vocally or musically.

    About the "Exodus" story.

I love this cover, it's amazing. I like the vocals on this one better. I love James' voice, but it sounded like shit on Ride the Lightning. Not too happy that the guitars don't have as much bite, but this cover is still almost as good as the original. And this coming from someone who really really despises metalcore bands...

This version killed the song "Creeping Death" for me. Matt is a good singer but the vocals are all fucked up and the "DIE" part was just ruined by Matt's over-zealous need to try and make this song better. It's all good though Metallica's version is just way better in my mind nobody should cover a Tallica tune unless they're gonna do it right.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Blue
Ed Sheeran

Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
