Going to work out this time
And I’m sure daddy’s in bed
Thinking 'bout my life and how to make it right now
It’s a long way home
It’s a long way home
The best thing for me now
So walk by
And you can’t keep saying
The same thing to me now
So walk by
And break free from all the things that you have left behind
'Cause it’s a long way home
It’s a long way home
The best thing for me now
So walk by
And you can’t keep saying
The same thing to me now
So walk by
Everyone has a story to tell
Everything has a reason for it
Everyone has a story, don’t they?
It's a long way home
It's a long way home
It's a long way home
The best thing for me now
So walk by
And you can’t keep saying
The same thing to me now
So walk by
It's a long way home
I disagree this is about her being in a relationship, in the beginning it says 'I'm sure daddy's in hed thinking about my life and how to make it right now' Why would her dad by all means be butting in her relationship? I think this song is just talking about her life about how her parents don't think she's fully making the right decisions or choosing the right path in life. Also i think the right lyrics would be 'And it's too late for wanting the best thing for me IS TO WALK BY' the 'So walk by' bit would be in the second verse 'And you can keep saying the same thing to me now SO WALK BY' and i think she's actually talking about her wanting to choose her own path in life and kinda be independent.
it's like when your relationship ends but then he/she came saying to start over and you're like i don't want it anymore "And it’s too late for wanting The best thing for me now So walk by"
don't want to be in the same thing again
This song is awesome. This is the only song she uses an electric guitar isn't it? And when she sings "everything has a reason for it" she kinda sounds like Lacey from Flyleaf. Just wanted to throw that out there. And yea i agree, she's in a relationship and doesn't want it anymore.
