Your love is a lost code
And this room's as cold as hell
And nothin' gets through
And you feel so alone
Sunlight breaks through
A drawn winter blind
And I would leave you
If I had the time

Days pass through me
In the faltering light
But I don't ever get to see them slip by
Nothing good comes to those who wait
And dying never seemed so easy

Your love is a lost code
And your heart is breakin' up
You're takin' a handfull
You can't bring them up
The room is cavin' in
And there's people standin' 'round
But they can't get through
They can't speak a sound

Days pass o'er me in the faltering light
But I don't ever get to see them slip by
Nothing good comes to those who wait
And dying never seemed so easy

You say, you scream inside
But you want to know
Well I'm ashamed
To leave you on your own
[I can't read the single lines you steal]??
And I can't save you from yourself this time
???? ????
So easy

Love is a lost code
Your love is a lost code

    My Interpretation

To leave you on your own,.. And I can't read between the lines you still, And I can't save you from yourself, this time never seemed so easy.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
