Where Butterflies Never Die Lyrics

Float on
To the painted sky
Where dreams will be unified
As I slip inside

Multiply humanity
Harmonize insanity
Shedding light of remedy
Pulling tides of clarity
Shattered glass in flower beds
Humanize inhumane ends
It's all the same for the dreamers
It's all the same... for us...

Float on
To the painted sky
Where dreams will be unified
As I slip inside
Where butterflies...

Utilize surrendering
When silence falls, to you it sings,
Sterilize your mentality,
Compromise your reality,
Restful mind and peaceful eyes,
When sound is gone, then you will find,
It's all the same for the dreamers,
It's all the same for us...
For us...

Float on
To the painted sky
Where dreams will be unified
As I slip inside
Hold on
To the painted sky
Where we will be unified,
As I stand inside.

Where butterflies
Never die.
(Will never die.)
Where butterflies...

Um, well it sounds like the singer when insane after someone very important to him and fragile died, or was murdered.

Maybe his child or little sibling, or even a sick dear one, because butterflies can be killed so easily, so he creates an innerworld where they never die.

Or "Float on to the painted sky where we shall be unified" sounds like he is forcing himself to slip away to find a innerworld were they never died.

Anyway I love this song so much!

This song for me seems to be about something someone lost. Maybe like loss of innocents because butterflies are often associated with youth and innocents, purity and also they're easily killed, lost. "Float onto the painted skies [where dreams] will be unified as I'm swept inside." Could paint a picture of beautiful skies, but maybe "painted skies" could mean the unrealistic characteristics of life, "where dreams will be unified as I'm swept inside." could symbolize how life can drag you into things, even if you don't want to be part of them.

"Multiply humanity, harmonize insanity, sharing light of remedy, holding Tides of clarity, shattered glass in flower beds, Humanize inhumane ends."

The part above could mean a traumatic end to something good. Like it was never meant to end, but it did. So, maybe the song itself represents what could never be, "Where butterflies never die," a world where innocence isn't lost.

It's like all romantic and otherworldly. :)

I first heard this song when I was scrolling through YouTube, when I found this song along with Black Butler II's Alois Trancy. For those who aren't familiar with him may not understand what I'm saying on how I think it reflects on him. I won't put in any spoilers.

"Float on to the painted sky where we shall be unified as I slip inside Where butterflies... never die

Multiply humanity, harmonize insanity, sharing light of remedy, holding Tides of clarity, shattered glass in flower beds, Humanize inhumane ends."

-When you've been crushed and you've lost what you loved dearly, you go into a world "where butterflies never die." You're miserable and there's not much of remedy. You know what's going on and you don't want to think or acknowledge it exists.

"It's all the same for The Dreamers, it's all the same... for us..."

-As a dreamer myself, I see that people with realities they don't like and you just want peace. You create yourself a new world and a new reality.

"Utilize surrendering, when silence falls, to you it sings, sterilize Your mentality, compromise your reality, Restful mind and peaceful eyes, When sound is gone, then you will find,"

-I see it this way. When you know everything is just wrong around you and you "compromise" your reality with what YOU want and no one can tell you what exists and what doesn't. You create your own world with a new life, new people, and everything goes the way you want.

Anyway, that's how I see it.

My Interpretation

This song seems to tell the story of a man who isn't in his right mind or even is schizophrenic and the chorus talks about a world of his own one that he created.

"Float on to the painted sky where dreams will be unified as I slip inside Where butterflies..."

The words "float on" inferring slipping away, leaving reality and letting yourself go somewhere safe if only mentally. Then the words "painted sky" is a directly saying about somewhere beautiful, surreal even calming. Finally in this set of lyrics "where we shall be unified/where dreams will be unified" refers to how when your not in your right mind your different and stand out, so these lyrics are referring to being with others like him or in his world he is accepted.

"Multiply humanity, harmonize insanity, shedding light of remedy, pulling Tides of clarity, shattered glass in flower beds, Humanize inhumane ends."

This lyrics are more complicated than the chorus and are when it first starts to tell us how they aren't sain, the words "multiply humanity" is referring to how we 'multiply humanity's try to make those who are different more humane more normal and closer to the mold. Then when it sings "harmonize insanity" it tells how those who are insane harmonize with each other, connect. Next is "pulling tides of clarity" this is talking about medicine, the medicine given to patients to help reduce how they feel, make them calmer, and help treat them. Then the words "shattered glass in flower beds" a bed of flowers is a delicate and cherished thing and shattered glass is dangerous and unwelcome it also stands out in a flower bed, these lines are using a flower bed to symbolize people who are sain and 'normal'. It also uses shattered glass to symbolize someone who is unwell or broken, these words show how they stand out in a crowd and is considered dangerous. Finally the words "humanize inhumane ends" is telling about how doctors and others try to 'humanize' him make him normal, help him gain his sanity again.

"It's all the same for the dreamers, it's all the same... for us..."

This line proves more of the idea that the singer is schizophrenic and 'dreamers' are referring to schizophrenics, when it saids “it's all the same for the dreamers, it's all the same... for us..." It means how they are still human and everything is still the same as it is for non schizophrenics, they still feel the same emotions they still have fears and their still people.

“Utilize Surrendering, when silence falls, to you it sings, sterilize Your mentality, Compromise your reality, Restful mind and peaceful eyes, When sound is gone, then you will find”

This is the part of the song where the singer seems to give into their insanity they no longer try to fight it, the words “utilize surrendering” are saying that they give up that they surrender. The words “when silence falls, to you it sings” imply that they often heard voices that aren't there and so when all is quiet it's music to their ears, something they enjoy. Next are the words “sterilize your mentality, compromise your reality” they have given up and destroyed all that was left of their sanity, by doing this they have changed their reality cause giving in changes everything and their reality would no longer be the same. Finally “restful mind and peaceful eyes, when sound is gone, then you will find” when they are calm and quiet most likely asleep then they are peaceful, this added onto the next lines let's you know that when it saids “then you will find” you is referring to others who are 'normal’ and how the singer is no different than them.

“Hold on to the painted sky where we will be unified as I slip inside Where Butterflies... Never Die....Never Die..... Where Butterflies......”

The meaning of this piece is still the same as the chorus but this time it sings “hold on” rather than “float on” implying that this is why they chose to giving and also that they have nothing without this world he created but the cruel reality of life so he holds onto it.
